With a renovation price tag of $18.2 million, every room at Wycliffe Golf & Country Club in suburban Wellington is worth a thousand words. The grandest of the club’s new and upgraded restaurants and lounges features “million-dollar views” overlooking Wycliffe’s two expansive championship golf courses. There are also new tennis and pickleball courts. Some adjacent areas, with tables and chairs, create discreet separation from the hubbub. All of Wycliffe’s lounges are busy social hives -- so why the nooks? Staffer Michelle Phillips said, (quote)“Some of our members will still be working” (unquote) Member Marty Ross added, (quote) “It’s not 30-somethings we’re appealing to.
