Hand’s Art Supply survived the coronavirus pandemic but has struggled as shoppers have switched to online purchases. East Atlantic Avenue also is changing, said David Cook, who has managed the store for 15 years. Bars and restaurants have filled the blocks, making parking in the neighborhood difficult, Cook said. He the property for $11.5 million to local developer Steven Cohen, who said he will keep the property as a retail site.
