El Car Wash, a Miami-based chain, has bought Motor City Car Wash’s three sites in Palm Beach County for $10.2 million, well in excess of their assessed value of $5 million. And the company plans on opening another 10 locations in the county during the next 12 months, according to one of its founders, Jason Landau. With the Motor City names so familiar to area residents. Landau said he and his partner, Geoff Karas (CARE-us), a long-time Palm Beach County resident, decided to simply add the Spanish article “El” in front of "Motor City." Landau said existing management has been retained to operate the three El Motor City car washes for El Car Wash.
