New research suggests public displays of affection (PDAs) could be a sign of a more satisfying relationship.

Connection and Dating Expert, Karina Chapman, tells Mike it’s healthy to show some PDAs, as long as we recognise the line between connection and cringe.

Public kissing can be seen as romantic and reassuring to some, but awkward and downright annoying to others.

But what if that PDA we’re rolling our eyes at is actually good for the couple doing it?
Physical affection communicates closeness, love and connection, but Karina says there’s an important distinction: affection should create connection, not make everyone else uncomfortable.

While public affection can strengthen connection, private affection may be even more important. Regardless, whether you’re a hand-holder or a passionate kisser, affection matters.
