Kathy points out that a stronger awareness of their needs must be addressed as any dog whose mental and physical needs aren’t sufficiently met, will be likely candidates for behavioural issues - namely stress and anxiety.

 

Unfortunately, they’re increasingly being unnecessarily placed on anti-anxiety medication which can be easily avoided with effective behaviour modification strategies.
