Senator Rex Patrick, Independent Senator for South Australia & former Royal Australian Navy submariner, joins Michael regarding Australia's Attack Class submarine project which is facing major criticism over delays and mounting costs which have seen an increase of almost $40 billion from its initial sum of $50 billion.

 


Senator Patrick also has brought into question the technology being employed, including the efficiency of an advanced propeller system called pump-jet propulsion which has never been used on a conventional submarine.
