With insurance premiums on the rise as communities across Australia experience
increases in property crime, One Nation will demand that insurance is exempted
from the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

To address this, Senator Hanson proposes making insurance exempt from GST, emphasising that insurance is only a 'service' when a claim is made. This exemption could save money for Australians and potentially encourage more people to obtain coverage.

Additionally, if One Nation gains the balance of power in the Queensland state election, they would also seek to exempt insurance from state government stamp duty, criticising the current situation where the government benefits from rising premiums amid increasing regional crime.
