In 2018, marine scientist Professor Peter Ridd claims he was charged with serious misconduct by James Cook University after breaking a gag order over his claim that global warming is not destroying the Great Barrier Reef. 

Dr Ridd was then fired by the university and is now challenging his job dismissal… with the case to be heard in Brisbane in the Federal Court next week.

Luke talks to Gideon Rozner, Director of Policy at the Institute of Public Affairs who are helping Dr Ridd with the proceedings and recently released a new film to promote this critical fight for free speech and for academic freedom.
