On today's show, Lucy Jackson and Nicki Westcott address juicy rumors. Head on. M Davies is set to help budding influences, Chloe Zepp is on the hunt for a new brand manager, and is Shiny Grimman destined to be the next big Mummy blogger. Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm Amy Torba and Sophie. I saw a TikTok the other day that reminded me of you. So in the US, there is a hotel that is now charging guests one hundred and fifty dollars if they get any of their makeup on handtoels and having stayed in different places with you, you are guilty of this. I would go bankrupt if I went to this hotel because I literally get foundation over everything all over my house. There's fingerprints on the doors and walls. I'm so annoying. Your steering wheelers caked in makeup as well, and there's like fingerprints where you obviously look at yourself in the mirror as well, and it's just all over the roof of the car. I've always wondered why they make the hand towers and flannels white, like they're just asking for trouble and this hotel. They are pristine white towels, aren't they? Yeah, they are, but surely new face towels don't cost one hundred and fifty dollars, they're like two dollars. Cama. Well, the hotel is actually expecting guests to use this tiny little makeup wipe instead. But if you're a makeup user, normally you'll bring your own form of makeup wipes or my cellar water. I don't think it should be on the hotel to provide makeup. Wise app sometimes if I wash my face and I go on the shower and just wipe my face with the towel, there's still remnants. Well, what about the bedding and pillowcases? Do they have an additional charge? Because this could be a great money making scheme. I don't think they do, but it just reminded me day or thinks I'm a complete weirdo because every time we go on holiday, like when we went to Balley, I bought my pillow case everywhere with me. Because if you think about it, maybe some listeners can help us out do those pillows actually get washed or are you're just sleeping on the same pillow as every other person. Surely the actual pillow doesn't get washed. I've never washed my pillover before. But they don't have normal pillow cases either, Like they don't seem to be like ones that you can take on and off. So for you were going to get done because you've just said you've never washed your pillow before. This is a huge thing on TikTok. Really people have these routines where they wash their pillow. I think it's like every couple of weeks. I think everyone already thinks I'm a pig as to this because I don't wash towels before I use them. I don't wash undies or socks. I just go with it. And you do wash them, but you don't wash them once you've bought them, like I don't wash them before use. Like if I bought a toow, I'm not going to put it in the wash. I'm just going to assume it's clean. And I think that's a bad idea because we had so many people riding in saying a year for real, like these are in dirty factories. They're being shipped all over it does make sense, but I would never wash like an item of clothing before wearing us. It's got my partner so over the top. He is one of those people that everything must be washed. And I just kind of roll my eyes and be like, just it's fine. Live a little. It's fine. Remember during the pandemic when people Peo would spray their groceries with like Glenn twenty and leave them. That was him. That was him.

Wow, I am so beyond so tired, Like it's so fucking hard packing boxes and crap.

Chloe zep is on the hunt for a new personal brand manager, but instead of going down the traditional route of hiring a recruiting agency or putting an ad on seat, she decided to reach out to her followers now. She shared the ad on her Instagram story, which said I'm hiring, and in the job description, she said she's looking for someone to negotiate brand collaborations, to seek strict alignment in collabs and email management now. She also wants the candidate to be able to brainstorm and workshop projects together. The list went on. She also said that she wants a go getter with a growth mindset and a high achiever personality. And she asked her followers to reach out via her director email. It's interesting she's looking for someone to actually manage her personal brand, not her active wear brand, because I feel like the brand of has really fallen by the wayside, particularly since the pandemic, so she must have big plans to bring back her social media profile. I can see why a lot of influencers are advertising to their social networks, because she probably wants someone that actually knows her and knows a little bit about online persona yeah, and a little bit about what she shares. Because if she wants somebody to actually be doing content creation and helping her out with brand collaborations, they need to actually know about her before working. But I wouldn't think they'd want a fan. And this isn't a new thing. I've seen so many influencers put call outs for employees on their social media. I mean the other day we saw Kayla Estinas advertising for a nanny. Yeah, but I think it's awkward to see the job description later in this way because it's almost like we're getting a glimpse into her personal diary and also her social media strategy. Because to me, the beauty of a successful influencer is that they make you feel like there's no strategy or tactics involved. And that's working in the background because you want to buy into their life because you can relate to them and you feel like your friends. But when we're being told that, oh, I'm getting someone to outline all these strategies so that you'll think that these ads aren't really ads, I just it doesn't come across as organic. It just comes across as strategic and tactical. It is a weird place when you put it like that to advertise. It's like, hey, guys, does anyone know someone that can help me improve my brand on here? Yeah? Because she's literally saying that she's looking for someone to seek out these strict brand alignments. But then she's doing the complete opposite because it's making her audience more aware that it is an AD and their strategy and seems a bit unprofessional, doesn't it in a way, Because as you said, Sophie, she's talking to this audience directly that she's wanting to monetize, but then she's kind of telling them how she's going.

To do it.

It's so odd. But the other thing I think is surely she's been in this industry long enough to know which agencies are good and which are bad. Because it just seems like she's wanting to find a fan who perhaps hero worships her and they'll be open to taking a small cut from the deals as opposed to a large cut, or maybe she's looking for someone that she doesn't have to pay a large salary to. I can see how it would be advantageous to get a fan on board, because they're more likely to want to work with you, so they would be open to maybe taking less pay. I do think it is a positive, though, that she's willing to work on her personal brand, because it did really take a beating during the pandemic, and I don't think that she's actually recovered from that since. And you can see that she has been shying away from sharing things. I know Mitch her boyfriend is always talking about how they wanting to do a parenting podcast, and I do think that we may see chloees that really move into that mummy vlogging space. She has danced around it a little bit, but I also think we'll see that wellness side come out even more. It also shows that there are new demands on influences the fact that she's saying she's looking for a content creator. In order to up your game and be relevant on social media, you need to be by into the reels and the TikTok videos, and her TikTok account has laid dormant for some time that I never see her posting anything creative. I haven't really seen her working with many brands. Eve. Do you think this is showing a bit of a divide between the older gen Zetters who are really on the cusp of being a millennial, and those young Gen Zetters who just get TikTok they're always creating content. Because when you think about Chloe zep I think she is only twenty five. However, she's been on social media for the last ten years. Maybe she needs some help in refreshing her content and getting it to be of the standard of twenty twenty four. I also think it comes down to the fact that she's a busy mum with two young kids. She doesn't have the time to put into creating these epic social media campaigns. I do find it quite ironic that Mitch has been selling his services to businesses as in his social media services. Why doesn't he help her? Yeah, all right.

The last one last cab off the rank is obviously I think it was around the end of last year, but an old friend of ours essentially came online and told her recount of our falling out on her podcast.

After a three month hiatus, Lucy Jackson and Nicki Westcott returned to their podcast Happy Hour, and it was definitely worth the way, as they were back with a vengeance addressing rumors head on. I thoroughly enjoyed this segment and kudos to them for actually tackling all of these rumors head on. So the first rumor they shot down was that there's bad blood between them and their former podcast production team, Spin Studio. So for some background, it was the Spin Studio that came to Nicky and Lucy with the idea to do a podcast, and they've been working together for the last four years. For those who ared across the Spin Studio, it is run by Courtney Mangan and her brother Sam, and Courtney basically had been following Lucy and Nicki for some time and she really enjoyed their content and she thought that they would be great on a podcast, so she reached out and they were one of the first podcasts that they used to launch their studio and their network. Yeah, so obviously they've got quite a tight relationship there, and reading between the lines, it sounds like Lucy and Nicky were headhunted by Listener, and after their first episode dropped, Lucy and Nicky announced that they will have their own radio show on Saturday nights called Lucy and Nicky, which will air on the Hit network across Australia. So it seems like Listener really incentivized them to come across with these extra opportunities. I mean, it would be hard to say no to your own radio. I find that an interesting move because Abby Chatfield recently got rid of her late night show, which was a weekday show, so they're not replacing Abby, but it's clear that they want someone with the social media profile to be on there now. The women did confirm that they still love the Spin Studio team and that there's no bad blood. That did make me happy. They also said that Courtney Mangan may appear on the show soon. They also shut down rumors that their Brown Jagger and Stone was going broke. Yeah, so those rumors were circulating on Influencer Watchdog type accounts. In fact, Nicki said that the brand had had its strongest January since launching. They did, however, backtrack a little bit and say that it was a tough year for all E com brands, just like Jagger and Stone, and it actually made them better business women going through that sort of struggle. They also said they've implemented a GM so they can focus on these new opportunities that have popped up. That's a side note. Does Lucy remind anyone of Georgia h or Love Island? I feel like they look really similar and they've got the same sort of personality. Yeah, now that you say, I never thought of it. I saw someone sent in saying, oh my god, how has anyone not pointed out that Arabella and Steph Klesmith look exactly the same. I don't think they do. No. At first, I was like, I mean, they're both fucking stunning, and I was like, nah, nah nah. But then when I was watching it, I was like, there is an uncanny resemblance. I did find it awkward when Nicky and Lucy address their apparent feud with podcaster Megan Pistetto. They didn't name her directly, but it was obvious to anyone listening that they were talking about her.

Yeah.

I didn't really like the tone that they when they discussed her, particularly when they paid out her last name, comparing it to Cured Meats. And they also said that they hadn't listened to her show because they had an issue with her monetizing it. Now, I do understand if you were spoken about on a podcast and then it was behind a paywall, it might annoy you. But let's not pretend that podcasts aren't monetized. I mean, they've just signed a deal with Listener, they're obviously getting paid for to do it. They also signed a deal with Spotify, which meant that their podcast was purely a Spotify show, So I don't think that they can throw stones like that. I always feel funny, though, when obviously Megan has done this big podcast and she's accused them of abusing her, an event I would have almost liked to have heard them talk to this apparent incident. Well, they were saying they couldn't because they didn't listen to the show because they didn't want to give her I find that to cop out though, when people say I can't address the rumors because I didn't listen to it. I didn't have enough time to listen to it. And it's like, but if someone is apparently coming for you and making up these false accusations, the best way they move forward is to empower yourself with all of the information. So yeah, but I didn't come and say if anything, it kind of sounded like they did abuse her, because it was clear that they've got a problem with her. But well, they did shut down and say that all of the articles that she has written have not been factual as well, so they did make some comments on it. Interestingly, Lucy also came out and denied that she had a problem with Nicky's fiance, Olive Frost. But again it kind of added more fuel to the fire because she said, oh, we're fine, and then Nicky said, oh, well, there were teething issues at the start of their relationship, but they're sweet now. But you know, when someone shut something down, but then they provide a little bit too much, she used to hate him. Yeah, they're fine. I was hoping that they were going to touch on some of the restaurant dramas surrounding Matt Poul's stake in Olifrost's restaurant. But they kind of left that all. See, I don't really think that Nicky should have to comment on it. That is her partner that is involved in it. And also it seems like there are probably some legalities as well. The juicy bit came at the end of this segment, and this is where they addressed their friendship breakdown with influencer Lily Brown. So again, just like with Megan, they didn't refer to Lily by Nate, but it was very obvious who they were talking about because they said an old friend told her recount of their falling out on her podcast. It was interesting because they said it came as a really big surprise, firstly because it happened so long ago, and secondly because they said that things had been good between them. And it was so funny because they said that someone had sent them the teaser for the episode and they said, surely it's not about us, but then when they watched it, it was like, oh, yep, it is about us. Let's throw to more of what they said.

We actually also made a lot of progress. In reality. We have a very good mutual friend and so we were I guess I thought we were all working towards our friendly kind of we're not besties anymore, but we are no matter water under the bridge, did under the rug whatever without saying is as it goes. And I think we'd had all worked really hard towards reaching that point.

Yeah, which was you know, obviously each their own, everyone's entitled to do whatever they want. But I guess it came as a bit of a shock to us to see, you know, it was quite a confronting video.

Yeah. So the mutual friend they're referring to their is M Davies. And late last year we did actually see Lucy Nicki and Lily attend a couple of mutual events together with M Davis. Yeah, with M Davies. And I think it's because M Davies has her wedding coming up next year. She's probably wanting everyone to just get along. I feel for em because she's probably been working so hard in the background trying to be like, no, no, they don't mean anything by this, and then that episode came out, she's probably like, for fuck, say, So, what was it that Lily actually said on her podcast? I can't even remember. She didn't really say anything that profound, She just said that what we already knew was that it was about her extra rome and the fact that Nicki and Lucy had sided with him and they were caught hanging out with him and they were getting very close to him. It was almost as though she eluded something was going on between him and Lucy. Well, what Lucy did say on it is that everything is subjective and Lily clearly has her own version of the story and they have theirs, and the reality lies somewhere in between. That I did enjoy this dig that they made.

I think what's difficult for us is that we, you know, we've had Happy Hour for many, many years, and so we've never kind of gone out and done a grand expose of what is our truth. And yet, you know, the second I think it was like her third episode or whatever, She's like, you know, doing this episode on her, and I just think, we're never going to go into the details of that story because I just genuinely think that everyone would no one would benefit from the details of that story.

I would benefit. And also it was such a private incident that happened, and also the things that happened, there's real feelings involved.

Very much real feelings for a lot of people, like especially you know, there were a lot of real feelings and we don't want to discredit that.

While they're trying to sound professional, you can really hear the undertone that they're dirty, that Lily used them to promote her podcast, particularly in the third episode, and they're basically saying, look, we are successful without dragging your name. Oh. I can totally see where they're coming from, because it was so obvious what Lily was doing. And I hated that she prefaced that podcast by saying, Oh, if you're here for the tea, leave, it's exactly what you were trying to do, particularly when she tells people not to use information about her to clickbait things, and then she's clickbaiting her old friendship.

Oh my gosh, one of my friends sent me a screenshot the other day of a gossip page or something talking about me.

Og influencer Shany Grimman is setting the record straight after a gossip page made predictions about her future career path.

Now.

In a TikTok video to celebrate her bikini brand silks Whim hitting one hundred thousand followers on Instagram, she opened up that her friend had sent her a screenshot of a gossip page saying that she's either going to bring out a sex tape or have a baby and turn into a mummy blogger. What do you guys think I think that she would be an epic mummy blogger. What do we think she'd bring out a better sex tape or No, I'm saying, do you think that she'd be a great mummy blog Well, I think it's a little bit presombed. She was considering that she hasn't said that she wants children, she hasn't revealed that she's pregnant. I just think it's more interesting that influences are beginning to actually reference all of these gossip accounts, because earlier in the week we were talking about how Sammy Gugenheimer had set the record straight on all of these things that this anonymou account had said about her. It is interesting that influencers are now cutting these pages down at the knees and being like this is absolutely bullshit. Well, I quite like it because I think it creates talking points. So Shanni said that she will never do a sex tape, but she wasn't ruling out one day becoming a mummy blogger. Here's what she said.

Let's just make it clear I will never do a sex tape, and I'd literally want to have a baby so bad, but I'm not ready yet. And also my partner is actually three years younger than me, so we're not planning on having kids for quite a while. I also feel like I have a lot to work on before I become a parent, because I want to bring my kid up in a really healthy, stable household, and I don't know, I feel like I still have a lot to work on from childhood and just I want to be the best parent I can be. So I'm not quite a and I have so much to learn about myself.

I actually think becoming a mummy blogger would be a good career move for Shanny because she is quite active on TikTok. But I feel like she is nowhere near as big as she once was. She was Australia's og beauty influencer. There was a time where everyone literally hung on everything that she said. People used to use her catch phrases out in public. Nowadays you barely hear about her. She does clearly have this very successful swimwear company, but I don't think it's interesting for people to follow along with. I think that she would be more relatable if she did share mum content. But then again, all of that content around people actually going out and having a job is really popular now on TikTok. Yeah, but she doesn't really share that much about it. But if she did, I think people would be interested. I actually found myself engrossed in Michelle Battersby's day and a life on her Instagram story, so it was the first time that she's actually shared content like it. So she is the founder of sun Room, and literally all her day included was her on so many zoom calls, having so many meetings. But I just found it so interesting to see her blocker out and actually to say, oh, this is what I do in a day, because sometimes you see these important job titles and you're like, what are they actually doing. I saw TikTok the other day and it was this guy who works in a corporate job and his day looked so fucking depressing, who had hundreds of it. It was like, I get up at five thirty am to walk my dogs, and I thought, I'm kind of intrigued, but I'm not envying. Well, Michelle was also walking her dog early in the morning, but her morning routine actually looked relaxing because she shared that she doesn't actually shower. She bathes and the thought of having a get up and draw myself a bath and sit in the bath like that doesn't seem like something that you do before work. I wonder if that's a pregnancy thing though. No, no, she said that she never takes showers and she's been enjoying it now. I thought she is pregnant. I thought you were gonna say, you know, like how people do ice baths. No, no, this is just like a relaxing bar. Getting back to Shanney Grimmond, I find her whole evolution really interesting because when she was the Girl of Australia, that's when she decided to take a step back from influencing and it was all to do with her mental health and also her relationships at the time, because she didn't feel comfortable sharing about her partners in the way that she used to. And if you take a look at her YouTube, she hasn't posted for a year and last year she only posted two videos, but she is still very active on TikTok so she posts a lot of vlogs and makeup tutorials, but she does take her followers behind the scenes of a swimwear brand, which, as you guys have touched on. I think people actually find it quite interesting to see what she does day to day. She still has four hundred and sixty three thousand followers on there, so she's not a micro influencer. She still does have an influence that is a pretty big following to have on TikTok because there are a lot of influencers who are big on Instagram, say Steph kles Smith and Sarah's Day, who struggle to attract the same following across on TikTok. I find it so strange that she's only twenty six because it seems like she's been around forever. I found it interesting to see some of her followers' reactions to this video because they were saying, we love you, Shanny. I followed you since you were seventeen. You're such an amazing example these days, and there's so many people saying you were so iconic, and I think that they just want her to make a full comeback to YouTube. I think in order to make a comeback, though, she does need to rebrand, so it makes sense that people want to see her as a mummy blogger, a bit like we've seen with her old friend Michael Finch. He was massive in the beauty world and now he's reinvented himself into this TikTok chef and everyone loves it. So I do think she has to do something big and different than she's doing.

Now, ready with me while we talk about how I became a full time influencer.

Perth influencer m Davies has revealed she's set to launch a business which will help budding influencers get into the industry now. During a TikTok video, she took a look back at her decade long influencing career and she opened up about her breakthrough moment online. Before we get into that moment, have you guys been following her for a decade. I haven't been following her for a decade, but I do remember watching her stuff, probably maybe seven or eight years ago, and it was when she had that boyfriend, Jake Saunders, and I remember she was very into fashion and I had to laugh because she had this chair and it kind of looked like an old style deck chair, but I think it was worth three k Are they those very clinical looking chairs? Yeah? Ugly like they'd be so uncomfortable to sit on.

See.

I didn't really follow her until recently. I've been getting into her wedding content, but I feel like her name just popped up everywhere. I knew she was into fashion, But what was her big breakout moment on Instagram. Well, she really made a name for herself with her festival looks. And it blows my mind because she said that by twenty twelve, she was starting to snag influencer work, and that's because brands started noticing that she was creating these really out their outfits so fast fashion brands like Princess Polly started inviting her on big influencer trips and that's when influencer trips really started. So she was sent to Coachella when some of her outfits just like from stuff she'd gone down and got it, Bunnings like chains and being really out there. Yeah, her fashion sense has definitely evolved. She did cop a lot of online hate and trolling at the time for some of the outfits, but she said she doesn't regret her choices because she said she wouldn't be in the position that she's in because it really did grow her following. It is clear that em doesn't want her audience to think it all came to her easily, because she did point out that she has spent the past ten years, every single week taking content of herself. Now, I know a lot of us turn our noses up at that, but if anyone has tried to shoot content, it actually is very difficult. I'm not sure if she was trying to take a potshot at anyone during this, but she said that she thinks that there is a big difference between creators who actually enjoy what they're doing and people who don't, and it comes through in their content. Oh, it definitely does come through. Particularly like a bunch of influencers I follow, they use the same formula every time to introduce that they're doing an ad, particularly say Tammy Hembro. I'm always like, oh, she's talking on her stories. And then I was like, hang on a bet, if I click next, it's going to have a you know, tag at Saskia or tag at AD And I'm like, ah, that's why they're here. Whereas m Davies, to her credit, does seem to actually create a lot of organic content, yeah, mixed amongst the ad. Well, that's what she said in this video okay, that she actually creates valuable content amongst the ads that she puts out there, if we remember a couple of weeks ago. Even if ads do generate a lot of interest, because remember she created that video about her best friend's engagement ring, and that went off like that was for a good reason, I'm not sure if I would praise that one as great strategy. I don't think she meant for that to happen. Now, after giving a lot of pearls of wisdom about how she cracked into the influencer market, she said this.

And then went on to make multiple businesses and grow from there, which has taught me so fucking much. And I've actually been working on something probably for.

Almost two years now where I.

Don't want to give too much away, but I'm going to help a lot of people sort of get into this industry.

I guess that's the goal.

And I just know that I love helping people, and there's so many things that I want to do, but this is one thing that I've been set on waiting to do for a really long time, and I can't wait. It's just taking a long time and a lot of work.

She finished up by saying that she knows she's done a lot of dumb shit on social media, but that's just her and that everyone fucks up and makes mistakes. Now, this whole video really did seem like a bit of an ad for her new business, which is ironic because she's saying, I create all this organic content, but this is also an ad. Yeah, she hasn't actually specified what this business is actually going to be. But it's interesting to take a look back at some of her business decisions from last year, because she did pause her fashion brand, Venom, and that was to concentrate on other business ventures. And she said it was a hard decision as the label was still performing really well financially, but her intuition told her to move on and do something that excites her. Do we think that's true, Because when we spoke about how Lucy and Nicky, while they said they had a great January this year, they did acknowledge that e comm brands were really struggling. So, I mean, I'm not trying to put words into her mouth and say that what she said isn't true, But sometimes I think you have to take those sorts of things with a picture soul from a brand perspective, you're hardly going to be putting it out there that your business struggle because doing it. If we're trying to resell the business as well, it's the same argument that we had when Sarah's Day shut her sonny app down. Well, if it was doing so well, why wouldn't you sell it? Well. A couple of months before, she opened up a new photographics studio in a really cool part of Perth called Osborne Park, which is really industrial and the business offers influencers, videographers and e commerce creators a studio to create content in. Well, it sounds like this new business that she is teasing is something to do with that, because I wouldn't be surprised if she's setting up her own influencer agency, particularly because she's friends with so many influencers she would immediately get them on her books. Yeah, I don't think it's an agency. I actually think she might be creating influencer workshops because in her video she said that she wants to help budding influences, so it's people who potentially don't yet have a following, and she seemed to be handing out a lot of advice on how to actually grow or following it doesn't need to be for people who already have one. I would be so interested to attend this workshop just from perspective to see what these people say, because again, while I am not trying to take away the fact that she has been constantly creating content and that she managed to break into the industry when it really wasn't an industry, I do again wonder how beneficial those tips are for other people, particularly how saturated the influencer industry is at the moment. She did touch on how oversaturated it is, and that's why she thinks as important to hold these classes. I actually do think with the way that the industry has changed now there's so much more focus on video content that people actually do need to be trained in it because before it was just taking hot photos of yourself. Now they need to be taught editing, how to deal with brands. I actually think it's a great business idea because the job of an influencer is desired by so many young people. Yeah. I know we want to talk about football right now, but as I look at Travis Kelsey and Taylor, if you're talking about the relationship all year long, that right there especially, we can't close Today's show off without talking about Taylor Swift. At the time you're listening to this, we are most likely on our road trip to Melbourne. I am so excited and I feel like this week has just been absolutely perfect leading into the concert. You couldn't write the script for this, the Chiefs winning the super Bowl, all of the content that has come out with Taylor and Travis celebrating. I can't get over that video that is going viral though, of Travis Kelcey singing Viva Las Vegas. It's so funny because one content creator said, we were promised a proposal and this is what we got. I think we need to throw to the clip in case some listeners haven't heard it.

Ze's good.

The audio of this clip doesn't do it justice because you need to see the look that Taylor Swift gives the camera perfectly pants on her in the moment where she is getting the ick. I got the ick from it. Yeah. Is it wrong that I almost do want them to break up at some stage just so we can hear what she really thought about that space? Yeah. I feel like some reference to Viva Las Vegas will be in a breakup song if they do break up. I don't want them to break up. I think it's important that we remember the Travis Kelsey has probably been very intoxicated for the last couple of times. But when he got up on stage and said that, though, that was right after the game. Yeah, but you've got to remember he had a lot of endorphins going through his body. I'm trying to give him the benefit of that. This is the first time the Swifties have got the ick, though, and they're getting it hard. It wasn't only the fact that he came up on stage and sung that bit. It was also that he abused his coach and was acting like a real dickhead. And I have heard that that's you usually how he acts. Well, that was how he acted before he want Taylor. He's got whiteline fever. I don't think you can judge someone how they act on the pitch. I mean, your boyfriend. He's a very nice person. You wouldn't think that he would act the way he does on a netbook. That's a very good point. I think we've romanticized him a bit too much on TikTok, But to be fair, the clips from his podcast he does come across really well on there, so I'm just putting it down to the fact that he won the Super Bowl. He's acting like a dickhead athlete. I still very much ship this relationship, and I really hope that he is in Melbourne this weekend supporting Taylor. Because we've seen her in the crowd supporting him, I would like to see the same in Melbourne. It was interesting to see her playing the role of the supporting person because she did recently win a Grammy. Sadly Travis wasn't at that ceremony, but it was weird to see her being the cool girl that's standing looking on I really enjoyed this clip where it showed what a nice persons she is because Travis was heading over to his family and rather than stepping in and embracing him, she stepped back so he could hug his mum. I mean that says a lot about her. I have so much respect for her, particularly also because it wouldn't be easy for her to stand in the crowd because everyone's eyes were on her. I mean, I love seeing her chug a beer, but you would wonder how performative you should be, and it would be hard knowing that everyone's watching your reaction. How fucking funny was Blake Lively's reaction to some of those moments. They were just memes asking to happen. Did anyone see Taylor's TikTok, which showed her parents at the nightclub where they were all celebrating the Super Bowl? Oh, and she said, when you're told that is just something to invite family and friends who, like she thought, it was a lot more low key. And I really related to her because I don't know about you guys, but my partner never tells me the tone of an event, like I never know what to wear. I never know what's really happening, only find out the day four that it's happening. Her parents look so cute because they're just sitting in this booth and looking so uncomfortable because obviously there was really loud music blaring. Well, Taylor's songs were blaring, remixed versions of them were blaring, and I couldn't imagine how awkward it would be for your own song to be playing in that situation. It seemed to mind she was really playing it up and dancing with him, But I think maybe she knew everyone's watching, so she had to. I feel like there's so many men turning on her being like, wow, that's arrogant. Look at her singing along to her song. It's like what they're supposed to do. She's having a bit of fun with it. Oh well, all the brads and chads can shut the fuck up. Really well, I think that's all we've got time for today. Thanks for listening to another episode of Outspoken. If you are going to the eras to her, I hope you have an amazing time. I cannot wait. This podcast was recorded on the traditional land of the Ghana people of the Adelaide Planes.
