Coming up. On today's show, Kyrie Harvey sparks debate after revealing she rehomed her family dog, Tammy Hambro's Wholesome Holiday with Matt Sakowski and her ex Breez hawkiins, Mikayla Testa declares she's in love and the latest on Aspen Ovard's alleged divorce. Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm Kate Torba and there is currently debate raging on TikTok over how often you wash your pajamas. There is a section of the internet who insists that pajamas should be washed every day, and these people believe it's unhygienic due to sweating overnight and also wearing them for eight hours plasses gross. On the other hand, there were people saying, you know, a couple of times a week, maybe once a week max is normal. So if I need to ask how often do you wash your pajamas? Well, I don't wear pajamas every night. Usually I go to bed with a big T shirt on and just my undies. But on the nights I do my tan I like to marinate in it. So I wear long pajamas and I will wash them after every use, but that is only because there is tan all over them. So the big T shirt that you wear, is that just what you've been wearing that day, so it's fresh every day? No, Well, I actually do get a fresh T shirt out the drawer probably every night, but it's more because usually I've chucked I have a shower at night at time, I've chucked it somewhere in the bathroom. So yes, I probably do follow this and wear something fresh every night. See when I saw this TikTok, I actually felt quite ashamed because I thought washing your pajamas once a week was quite frequent, because I don't really know how often I wash mine. I usually wear winter pajama pants and it could be a month or so before I wash those. To make you feel better, I'm going to admit this on the podcast. I am currently wearing underpants that I purchase from the shop and have not washed, and that is out of pure laziness. And I think it was last year we did a segment about whether you should wash your sheets or clothes before you wear them, and I just think that's bullshit. Because who has the time for that. I honestly think it's phobes that are washing them every day because I cannot imagine the laundry. So you're having to do laundry every day, or you have so many pairs of pajamas, like where do you store them? Particularly in winter when it's cold and you're having to hang them on the line or put them on the clothes horse. How are these pajamas drying in time? Yeah? Well, some of the people that admitted to washing their pajamas every day also said they wash their towel every day. So look, I want to be better at it because I feel like I've got a reputations being a bit of a slob on this podcast. I have been really good with my pillowcases because I feel like you do need to have a consistent turnover of your pillowcase because I have been suffering with my skin a little bit, and I think it's down to my pillowcase. Yeah. Well, I have to admit that when I saw this TikTok, I actually did watch my pajamas and I probably will be doing it more frequently. So this is everything I did today. I started my day at about four point thirty in the morning. I wanted to get some movement in before the kids woke up. The Internet went into meltdown when fitness influenced Tammy Hembro revealed his holidaying in Balley with her fiance Matt Sakowski and also her baby daddy and ex Reese Hawkins. I have to admit I had to do a double take when I saw this vision because Reese's in the background. They're at a beach club, They're all with the kids. It looks very happy family. Yeah, it was very wholesome. Everyone was saying that they just felt so happy seeing this vision, and I think it's because a lot of people know that Wolf and Saskia their kids don't often get to see Reese because he does live overseas, so it was special to see them having family time. Now, Reese and Tammy were together for four years and they called off their engagement in twenty eighteen, so there has been some time that's passed for them to co parent together and become better friends and on better terms. I think that Tammy really has to be commended in this situation because it does seem like she is trying really hard to have a good relationship not only with Reese Hawkins, but her other fiance and baby daddy, Matt Paul or ex fiance. Yeah, I mean maybe Matt was wondering where his invitation was. Do you think he would go and join it? I just think that would generate too many headlines if all three of them were there. But it would be very handy because clearly Tammy and Matt Sakowski they need some time away to sort out what has been going on. And what better to have your other kid's dads there to babysit. It's perfect, I mean I don't know if it's perfect. I feel like it could also generate some problems. A lot of people were commenting that Reese looked really toned and in good nick and he did look good. I mean, some followers were making a few unfair comparisons between the two men's body which was rather gross. I don't think that's right to body shame people. I mean, I think that it's coming off the back of people being annoyed with Matt Szakowski. But that is so wrong. What does make it a little less awkward is Reese is dating someone news, so he is seeing an only fans star called Ruby Bisaga, So I mean, I think it would be more awkward if he was single and on this trip and sort of milling around. It has been interesting to watch this trip on fold online because Matt did take Tammy out for her thirtieth birthday the other night, and they did look very loved up, maybe a bit. They had a few wines. I think in the bathroom at this Barley restaurant, Tammy looked like she was about to fall over. She didn't look in a good way. It just one thing that didn't sit well with me was this post that Matt put up, so Tammy was lying on a sun bed and it was literally a photo of him grabbing her ass cheek, and it was hopefully deleted. It seemed a bit possessive. It is hard to watch on and buy into this trip being such a good time for everyone, because it's clear that they've gone away to work on their relationship, but to also to celebrate Tammy's birthday. I just feel awkward. This trip does seem like a bit of a branding exercise for the couple. It's almost like they're trying to prove something to their followers. They've been posting a lot of very loved up Instagram reels and a lot of declarations of love for one another. It also seems like Matt is trying to prove his dedication to Tammy by getting a tattoo on the trip. So if you cast your minds back at the start of their relationship, when Tammy was on a White Fox trip, she got Matt's name tattooed on her hip. Yeah, And it was so early on in their relationship that a lot of people actually assumed that the tattoo had been for her former fiance Matt Paul Yeah, and that it was just convenient that they were both called Matt. Yeah. So Matt has got Tammy's name now on his hip with that little love heart. That seems fair. I think that's a right decision for him to make. They also have matching love heart tattoos that they got a couple of months ago. I wonder if Tammy was on his back saying, look, are you gonna get my name or what? Because there is a rumor that he has a tattoo on his ass of his other ex's name. It is not Kira Maguire, it is another X. It's Genevieva believe Genevieve. Oh god, that would be a long name on your ass. Well, maybe it just says Jen, but I mean I'm hoping maybe if he's getting it removed, it only says Jen, because that would be quite painful. I found it quite surprising because I had a look at Tammy Hembro's social blade, and you would think, because she is promoting her book at the moment, and also because all of this drama is happening, that more and more people would be following her and wanting to buy into her life and see what's going on. But in the past month, she has actually lost twenty five thousand followers. She seems to be hemorrhaging followers by the day. Wow, she does have seventeen millions, so she's not really going to miss the twenty five thousand, but that does speak volumes that people are over the drama. Yeah, And I think that's also why she's reframing to share a lot of content with Matt on her Instagram, because it does seem to be him who is trying to tag her in a lot of things. And when she does a photo dumb, the first photo will be her, but it won't be him. Yeah, whereas it's the reverse on his Instagram. Well, we all know why that would be.
You gotta pet.
You got a responsibility. If your dog is lost, you don't look for an hour, then call it quits.
You get your ass out there and you find that fucking dog.
Kyrie Harvey has sparked debate after revealing she rehomed her family dog Socks. The influencer was forced to make the announcement after she was bombarded with messages from her followers after the dog disappeared from her account. Before we get into it, Kate, who is Kyrie Harvey, Well, she is better known by her Instagram handle Miss Kyrie Loves and she's a Perth based influencer who has been sharing her very aesthetically pleasing life on social media for over a decade.
So.
She is a photographer, children's author and mum of three. Alongside her children's books, she also sells affirmation cards online and she has over two hundred and thirty five thousand followers on her Instagram account and has clocked up forty six thousand on her home account. Now, she has stepped back a little bit from her main account and mainly posts about styling and home renovation projects on her home account. As for her family dog, Socks, she adopted him back in August twenty twenty three, and he is an adorable Aussie doodle. Oh this dog is so cute, Like if you wanted to buy a dog that was perfect to fit into this esthetically pleasing social media life that Kyrie has set up. This is the dog. Yeah, and she did announce the exciting news with her followers by sharing the moment her kids first saw Socks as a puppy, and that video has two hundred and twenty eight thousand views. It was a very touching moment because her daughter starts crying. The family just looked picture perfect in it. It's like they're in a Hallmark movie essentially. Yeah, and Socks was a very big part of her content until he suddenly disappeared from her feet, and this did prompt followers to message Kyrie asking her about the dog. Some were concerned, but I think it's clear that others felt as though they were entitled to know what was going on and where he was. It did feel like Kyrie was forced to come out and reveal the news that she had rehome Socks, and in a lengthy statement she shared on her Instagram story. She admitted that she felt extremely anxious, uneasy, and frightened about how people were going to react to the news. Now, it turns out that Socks is now living with the family who adopted one of his brothers, so it seems like a good outcome now. Before she went into the details about why she made the decision, she did preface that she has become more of a private person online over the years, and she has set boundaries around her personal life and has been showing her kids less online. She did, however, say that she felt like she owed it to her audience to explain what had happened, because so many of them had been really gracious and given her good advice over the time. Kyrie then went into detail about some of the reasons why they did rehome Socks, and the main reason appeared to be his size. So Kyrie wrote, even after all the endless research, we thought we were so prepared, yet we still got it wrong. We never anticipated or comprehended how big he would get. He was thirty five kilos with super long standard poodle legs and growing. Even with private training at our home, his size became unmanageable for me on my own when I also have three children. She then also detailed how the dog's safety was becoming a concern as they could couldn't stop him from climbing over their fence and getting onto the road. She continued, there were lots of reasons for our decision, and it was a very depressing and gut wrenching decision to make. I understand there will be lots of you who disagree, don't understand, or who will be disappointed. We got a dog as a lifelong commitment. We never intended this to be the decision we'd make. My parents' dog is sixteen years old, and I envisioned that's what we'd also have. We plan to adopt a much smaller breed that will fit into our family's lifestyle. I hope that you respect that as a family, we did what's right for us and also insured Socks was safe and love too now. She did follow up with another post on an Instagram story that read, I've seen the threads, I've seen the nasty comments. I really hope those involved in adding to the conspiracy rumors can put it to rest. She then appeared to get some good feedback from her followers because she shared another post that said, thank you for your kind words. I was expecting it to go differently, so I really appreciate how kind my community is. Thank you for being here. Do you think it's fair to expect Kyrie to share what happened to Socks with her audience. It's a tough one because while it may not seem fair, I think it's just a byproduct of the parasocial relationship the audiences have with the influences that they follow. It's a two way relationship, and audiences expect transparency in exchange to be sold to And while it may seem like her audience are extremely entitled, I do think it's only human, particularly because the audience has also formed a parasocial relationship with Socks the dog, and I think the fact that Kyrie has used Socks in brand deals also adds an interesting element into it all. What doesn't sit well with me, though, is this gotcha moment that some followers seem to be trying to have because there is a conspiracy that the family has already adopted a Cocker Spaniel puppy, and some people have spotted that Kyrie is following certain breeders pages, and people are putting two and two together. And I think when it's got to the level where people are abusing you for making a decision and that's right for your family and right for the dog, the things have just gone way too far and gotten so ridiculous. I mean, we've had friends who have had to rehome their dogs, and it's one of the toughest decisions you can make, and sometimes it's just a lot kinder to the dog. As you've touched on Kate, they've rehomed it with the dog's brother, like the family of the dog, like this dog is it's going to be with a family who understand that breed. I think where she went wrong was actually referencing that they want to adopt another dog, because I think it was too soon to even mention another dog. And it does appear like the family may have another dog. Someone has spotted a dog crate in a corner of a photo. I got to remember that there's three young kids involved, who I assume are distraught that their dog has been rehomed. The parents have made the decision for the family because the dog is too difficult for them. They don't understand the complexities of it, so they know that they still want a dog, but this dog is the wrong breed for them. I think it just gives off the impression that the dog is an object and can be replaced, and while I'm not suggesting that is the case in this situation, it just doesn't come across right online. And I think the backlash is also coming from a place of envy because Kyrie presents this very perfect family aesthetic on Instagram and the dog really played into this. And as we know, life isn't always aesthetically pleasing, and there's nothing less aesthetically pleasing than rehoming your dog. And I think a lot of people are getting pleasure from the fact that influencers may not be as perfect as they portray themselves online. I do think at the end of the day, though, people are losing sight of what really matters, and that is the dog's welfare. And it is very clear they made the right decision when it comes to socks. Would people have preferred them to neglect the dog. That's why I feel a bit uncomfortable, because people are making these sweeping judgments about this family or and acting like they did neglect this dog simply for rehoming it, like they haven't just dumped it at some pound, They've actually found a nice, safe home for it to live in. I do think it comes down also to transparency. So I can see why some of her followers were annoyed because they said that they would reach out and ask how Socks was going on, what was happening with him, and they would be allegedly blocked. So I can see how that wouldn't really sit well with people. Again, though, we do need to remember this is a real family who were going through real emotions and it would have been absolutely heartbreaking for them to make this decision. So maybe they weren't at a point where they felt like they could publicly talk about it emotionally. Yeah, I definitely think that if you're in a really bad space and someone is continuously bringing up in your DMS, where's the dog? Where's the dog? Like, you might think that your tone isn't aggressive, but maybe it's coming in that way and you don't know how many messages that they're getting are asking the same thing. Just gonna snap be like I can't take this anymore. Hey, my besty girl is out of town this week. So instead of a best of girl, dat we have.
A Fanny Day.
Aspen Overard is still keeping her millions of followers guessing over the status of her marriage. A month ago so she allegedly filed for divorce from her husband, Parker Ferris. The same day the couple announced the birth of their third child. Very strange timing. The latest update, according to People, is the couple have paused their divorce proceedings to focus on negotiating a settlement. Now the court documents have been cited by People and were dated April seventeen. Now neither Aspen or Parker have actually publicly commented on the divorce, and they've been posting as normal, which is so odd. Yeah, it's really strange because on April the twenty second, Aspen shared a video of her and Parker out with their kids on what she called a family date to a soda shop, and then the following day, she posted a TikTok showing Parker filming content at a house, and she joked that he was coming out of retirement to film a morning routine. I mean, we have to point out that these videos are shot weeks in advance, and it's an interesting way to actually conduct your social media, because it's almost like putting out a TV show because you get a bit of ave you a bit of a trailer of what we might see. Yeah, but she mean she's still scheduling it in for it to go live at the moment when everyone is speculating on the status of their relationship. It's so weird because every time she posts a video, I go check out the comments, and she must be keeping up to date with the moderation to the minute, because I never see anyone actually asking her about She probably has the word marriage, divorce or Parker just filtered out of her comments section. Yeah, so it just automatically blops it. It's rather an interesting PR strategy to investigate because normally an influencer at this point would have come out and said something. They would have acknowledged that something was going on, or they would have denied it. However, it's been a month and they've both been quiet and acting normal. Is this a clever PR strategy? I think it is, and I think it's a clever way to also share content, because if you're sharing something that's happened months ago, you're giving yourself a bit of distance and time to get over those things, So you're not going to be as hurt if someone is commenting on something that happened a couple of months ago.
Yeah.
Well, a lot of people are also talking about the fact that Aspen hasn't actually said much about her third child other than the fact that she was born at thirty four weeks. I don't believe we know the name yet. I think it's actually a refreshing move that she's not sharing too many intimate private details about her new baby, because she did say a year ago that she didn't intend on sharing much about her other children and she wanted to take a step back and not invade their privacy. So I think that it's good she's actually sticking to her word and she's not using her baby to click bait. I mean, we've already got the potential divorce to sort of buy into and get interested in. Yeah, but do you think the reason that she started to pull back from sharing her family was because things weren't going right with her husband. I think it's probably a bit of both. I think with her kids getting older and maybe the constant speculation and the constant comments and I assume trolling, she probably thought, I don't want to be sharing every detail about my kids, and I think when kids get to school age as well, you have to be so careful with sharing their locations. I'm so interested to see how this unfolds and how they actually eventually come out and acknowledge the divorce, because surely there will be a point where they have to. I think it's quite perfect for them because they have got weeks and weeks to make sure that they put out the perfect divorce video, one that hits all of the right notes, one that makes both of them look good.
Forty five seconds. I talked about it, right, and in the video, I said, didn't check the price. It was one hundred and twenty five dollars, right, That's all I said. Didn't say it wasn't worth that, didn't say didn't deserve that present. The record literally just was trying to be like relatable because sometimes, like my sister, who's like really socially anxious, she'll like get a bag of cherries whatever, and she'll buy it and then it'll be like thirty bucks and she'll like fuck.
Oh oh yeah, yeah yeah.
It's kind of trying to be relatable, right. I'd just like to shot my mouth on every platform because the mean you say something like I'm just gonna start doing dancing videos, hones you.
I think janty video will be easier. Three months on from Muggate, TikTok is Sofa Dover has attempted to set the record straight on Lily Brown's podcast Sophie for those who need a quick refresher what went down Well, This controversy dominated for you pages for weeks and people were being asked if they were Team Sophie or Team Shelby. And things blew up when Sophia was slammed by a potter called Shelby Share It and she has been dubbed the Taylor Swift of the pottery world. She has over two million followers on TikTok and the drama went down when Shelby called out an old video that Sophia created which mentioned a strawberry mug from her collection, and in the video, Sophia said she didn't realize the mug had two handles when she bought it. She also said she didn't know the price of the mug before being presented with the FPOs machine and was shocked to find out the small mug cost one hundred and twenty five dollars. Now, Sophia didn't name the business in question, but many argued that it was obvious who she was talking about, as that strawberry pattern is one of Shelby's signature designs. This is where Shelby and the chat. She accused Sophia of lying about her experience at her stall and then got emotional about the hours of work that goes into each of her pieces, and she also explained that the two handed mug was part of a Dignity range to help people with disabilities. Now, this does seem pretty insignificant a couple of months or now that we're talking about it, but this was a big deal at the time. There were think pieces written about this. We wrote one for Mamma Beha. And you may be wondering why would she bring this up again, But it is because Lily Brown asked her directly about it. Yeah, because Lily asked her followers what are their burning questions for Sophia. And it seems like everyone still wants to know about Muggate. And it's quite funny because Sophia said that mug Gate continues to follow her around and when she attends influencer events, everyone asks her about it and she's so sick of it. She also said that she attended a recent festival and there were doof sticks with the infamous mug on it. What are doof sticks? So I'm trying to pretend to be cool, like I just knew what they were. I had to look up what they are. So they had DIY signs made from cardboard with a wooden pole holding them up. So literally, it's so someone drew a picture of the mug. Yeah, apparently there were several ones of the mug around. That's pretty funny. Yeah. I also just really enjoyed getting an insight into what actually went down when this controversy broke, because it's always fun to feel like you're a fly on the wall. Let's throw to what Sophia said.
I'm sitting at my desk one day in the office and I'm just checking my recent fitcheck that I posted, and all the comments are like, kys, like you're a horrible person. Obviously not going to say the words, but like you're a horrible person. How dare you? Like you're a slot like all this stuff, And I'm like, what happened?
Like this is that feeling broy So I'm.
Like, I checked my mentions straight away. I've been tagged in like a million times on this one video and it was this lady obviously now, but I realized the owner of for Sure saying that I lied and I knew the price, and she talked to me about the price, and we talked through the whole Strawby collection. Didn't happen, right. You want me fat, you can call me ugly, you can call me a slight. I don't really care, but don't want me to lie, Like, don't lie, that's so annoying, crossing the line, don't. I don't care if people like your eyebrows, sock.
It's pretty interesting because Sophia admitted that she does usually run things past her mum before she responds to any drama. Seems like a smart idea considering her mother is a lawyer. But in this instance, she told her mum that she didn't care what she had to say and she was sick of people making up fake narratives about her. It was awful to hear the comments that she received, because you've got to remember, Sophia is only twenty years old. It's a young girl who's getting this volume of hate directed at her, and you would be so confused thinking what have I done? What is this even about? Yeah, I mean a big part of the debate was the fact that this mug was a part of the inclusivity range that the brand was selling, and Sophia and Lily did fail to touch upon this important fat which I think it would have been nice to hear Sophia actually speak about it. Yeah, let's throw to what Lily and Sophia said about it.
So I said, I bought this mugg, and I was like, I don't know who I'm going to give it to you, right, Because when I left the market, I went home, pulled the mug out of the bloody bag. I saw it two handles, mark had two handles.
So is it a pot? What an actual mug that you drink at it?
It's actually a mug, So when you so when I bought it, I didn't see it because they're all like stacked on top of each other, like going, a bunch of handles going yes.
It was like, well, maybe like the other one was facing the back, right. I found these remarks a bit awkward. It seemed like Lily was very clueless about the mug, and it almost felt as though they were throwing shade at the mug for a second time and smirking about the fact that it had two handles, And I felt like it wasn't a full picture of what the actual controversy was about, because a lot of people were offended that Sophia seemed to be making fun of the fact that it had two handles when it is actually to help people with disabilities. Yeah. I don't think it's the best look to then reiterate the negative comments about the cup m It doesn't really make sense. Yeah, it doesn't really make sense. I know. Lily Brown has been criticized for her interviewing style. There was a thread in our Facebook group where people are saying, is anyone sick of the way Lily talks over all of her guests. Yeah, she makes all of the interviews about herself because she does get some good guests on there. And I was interested to hear what Sophia had to say, but Sophia was having to fight to get a word in. Lily kept interrupting her and bringing it back to all of the controversies that she'd had, and I felt like saying, we've already heard about this, we want to hear about Sophia. Yeah, but I'm also not a big fan of listening to influencers interview other influencers. It just ends up being an echo chamber, Whereas I would like to hear some of these people speak, but to be interviewed by someone that's a bit more partial, Yeah, someone who will actually hold their comments to account or question them or dig a little bit deeper.
He's so handsome, gorgeous, ripped and amazing that one of these days soon one of these girls of the gym muscle Mummies, whatever the fuck, is going to.
Steal him from me. Only Fans. Creator Mikayla Tester is finally over her ex Adams Paul, declaring she's in love after hard launching her new boyfriend on TikTok. I need to know how long ago was this breakup because I feel like all the years have been merging together ever since COVID. So they broke up, if you'll believe it, almost two years ago. So it was June twenty twenty two when news broke that they'd split. That blows my mind. It freaks me out how quickly time is flying. I suppose it makes sense that it would take two years to get over a serious relationship like that. It is nice to see her happy with someone else. So, Sophie, can you tell us more about who this guy is? So his name is Max Kraus and he is also an influencer. So on both TikTok and Instagram, he has over three hundred and ninety thousand followers. He is a gym Shark ambassador. He's ultra ripped. He almost looks like an anime character, which is quite funny because Mikayla loves anime and she said that she allways falls in love with the anime characters, so he is definitely her type. Let's throw to what Mikayla said about him.
I woke up this morning and I looked at the man that was asleep next to me, and I sighed. I sighed because he's so handsome, gorgeous, ripped and amazing guys. I'm in love like I'm in love for real.
It is really nice to hear Mikayla sounds so genuinely happy. You can just hear it in her voice that she's beaming about this guy. It is really nice and I can see why because he is her absolute type. Tuite. It's quite cute because they've actually known each other for two years. They've just been following each other on socials, but they first met up in Japan only recently and really hit things off. I do wonder what the longevity of this relationship is though, because Max is American and they are going to face some serious issues actually spending time together. Because Mikayla can't enter the US. She has been detained and deported twice from America.
Now.
The most recent time she was to ported was due to an accidental violation of her esther and that was because she listed her employment as self employed rather than lifting her job as an OnlyFans creator. And she did end up being questioned by officers and she was asked about who she was visiting in the US, about their businesses, their money, and if they do anything illegal yeah, And she was also asked if she had collaborated with anyone in the US before, and she confirmed that she hadn't and then moments later, the officer pulled up a Twitter photo of Mikayla topless with a number of girls from the US and then accused her of lying. And this is where things really escalated because she was then strip searched and brought into another holding room where she was kept for forty two hours. And at this point Mikayla assumed that she was going to be deported and banned from the US, and she'd heard stories about other sex workers being banned for twenty years, so she was terrified. And this is such a serious story, but I did have to laugh because at the time, Mikayla admitted that she started spiraling at the thought of no more American boys. So she clearly has a type which is American guys. Can you imagine flying all the way over from Australia to the US and then just being denied entry. It would be the absolute worst feeling. Well, particularly because it was this time last year and she was supposed to be going to Coachella and her pa ended up taking her place and going along instead. Good for the pa. Yeah, well that is where we're going to end things today. But if you do want to hear more content from us, we did drop a special subscriber episode yesterday, and there's just been so much to talk about on the influencer front. We decided to basically run it like our normal shows, so we discussed Emma Clair's update on whether or not she's coming back to social media. We also spoke about how Angry Dad's grandchildren have gone viral after watching him being pranked. We also had to speak about Alex Cooper experiencing the wedding effect and why Steph les Smith missed out on being introduced to Taylor Swift's Gale Gang. And if you aren't an Outspoken Plus subscriber already and you do want to sign up, all the details are in the show notes. Thank you again for listening.
