Coming up on today's show, Sarah's Day accuses a phone repairs shop of scamming her. Olivia Rodgers defends her dress choice for her friend's wedding. A UK Influences, White Fox, Mishap and Molly May's Designer Coat returns. Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the hottest influenza and pop culture news twice a week. I'm Amy Torber, and I've just recently watched a breaking news piece on ten News all about Taylor Swift's friendship bracelets because there were big concerns that fans wouldn't be allowed to bring them into her concerts. Yeah, Frontier Touring pissed a lot of Swifties off because they sent out an email saying that you could bring in friendship bracelets on your wrists, but if you put them on a carabiner, then you're not allowed to bring them in. I've got to interject, I had no idea what a caribina was.

It's basically a little hook.

So they have flatly said they don't want people bringing in heaps of friendship bracelets on any type of hook because they think it could be dangerous. I'm also wondering if they're thinking that people are going to be throwing these bracelets around, because we have seen a lot of artists recently come out and been hit with things to be thrown onto the stage. I'm all for making sure that everyone's safe. But when I heard the news that possibly we weren't going to be allowed to exchange friendship bracelets like every other country in the world, has it really upset me. The other part of me, though, who hasn't been organized enough to make a whole ton of friendship bracelets, thought, well, at least I haven't wasted my time, because we really need to get around to it. There's seven days before we leave. They have done a bit of a backflip, though, so swifties can bring them in in a bag, you just can't bring them in a hook. And in all seriousness, I can't imagine the security staff being too strict because let's remember in the US, most of the security staff were just swifties who couldn't get concert tickets. See I think the opposite, because I'm getting emails saying you must bring this, and that you must bring your ID so they can verify your ticket. There are going to be a lot of annoyed people because they've also said that swifties can't come and stand outside the stadium and listen to the music. I'm more concerned about the water bottle rule because apparently if you've got a floor ticket, you're not allowed to bring in a water bottle. But they've said there will be ample water and refill stations available. I mean, if you're at the front, what you're expected to walk all the way to get a cup of war? I mean, the thing is the seats are all allocated, so it's not like you're going to lose your spot if you go and get a drink. How are all the Genza's going to stand not having their Stanley cups for the night though. That's what I want to know, is that because they're worried people are going to throw the bottles. I think it's all the money making thing. They want people to buy the water within the stadium. I mean, what about the poor people? So you can buy a bottle of water, yeah, you can't buy one, you can't bring it in. Yeah, but that's a pretty standard rule. Like even where I worked at Titanium Security Arena, where the thirty six as people weren't allowed to bring in water. About the people that have the nappies on ready to piss themselves I want to miss. I'm going to be reducing my water intake because I don't want to be going to the toilet every couple of hours. At their last tour, I needed to go the bathroom and I purposely waited for a song that I didn't love as much. I've never sprinted so quickly in my life. I went into a portaloo. I think I must have pissed all over the seat whenever ran back out the poor person who went after me, But I could not miss any of the songs. Wasn't it Anna Paul who ran into Emma Watson in the toilet at the Taylor concept? Can you imagine if you just pissed all over this? Yeah, sorry about that. I wonder what the celebrity spotting is going to be like though the concert, because everyone who is somebody in Australia is going to be there. We're already seeing dickhead influences being gifted box tickets and that really give them to dickhead podcasters and I mean hot sip though that Travis Kelsey everyone's talking about it. Everyone is assuming he is going to be at the concert in Melbourne. Can you imagine running into him? Many exchanging friendship braces.

There's so much.

Stress about what to wear as well, because I bought an outfit weeks ago and I sort of went down the route of oh, get this cheap thing off Amazon. Then when I heard Steph Claire Smith talking about her ears to her outfit, I thought, well, she shared in her thirtieth video this expensive looking, sparkly outfit and said, oh, I'm possibly wearing this to the Era. It's not sure. And I thought, oh, hold on a second, my outfit looks really lame and it looks like I'm wearing a costume. I want to be a bit more cool. Try being twenty weeks pregnant and trying to find a costume. Because everything on TikTok is just sparkly.

Short, tight dresses. I have no idea what to wear.

I go folklore.

Yeah, I do have a flowy white dress.

But I'm like, it's more fun to look bigualed. Why don't you get your bump out put some jewels on your bump. That could be cool. And then you get a bit of pity as well. Because everyone be like, oh, let this pregnant woman come through, she needs to sit down. Let's get a reward. I think I'm gonna go for Chiefs Vibes, like I really want one of the Chiefs jumpers that Taylor do.

I realize that we're a week out and you haven't ordered any of these things.

Well, I did go online because there is this vintage chief store in Kansas that has been cleverly sending out Taylor Swift's all these jumpers. So if you notice each game, she seems to have a different outfit. I mean that's not coming into I don't know, but I'm just saying. I'm saying I looked up a site. I'm saying I looked up the site just.

Out of interest. They're selling these jumpers for like three hundred.

And fifty dollars and they are.

All sold out.

I'm going Lover Vibes. I've put my old outfit up on Marketplace if anyone wants to check it out, and I'm going full sparkles. I've got this really cool colorful blazer and skirt which probably is going to be very uncomfortable old cowboy boots. So if anyone wants so of these rejects that she's deemed not good enough.

For the concert. Go check out her face.

It's kind of the vibe of a little kid's outfit, so maybe a child would like it.

At this point, I might have to snap it up.

It's very comfortable, Kate, if you want to purchase it for thirty eight dollars. Sarah's Day has accused a phone repairs shop of overcharging her. In a heated series of Instagram stories, she called the stuff dogs and asked her followers if they thought she'd been scammed. Okay, what is going on?

I'd have to take you back to the start.

So the back of Sarah's iPhone has been smashed for over a year, and instead of getting it fixed, she wrote it out until the phone eventually died. And one thing she didn't do, though, was back up the thirty two thousand photos and videos she had on her phone, including very precious family moments including the birth of her son Malachi and Fox's first haircut. This just reminds me of something Sophie would do. It really does have Sophie written all over. I'm pretty shocked that she doesn't just have the automatic eye cloud backup, though, considering her job is our content creator. I don't think I have ever had a phone that has lasted me till the end of my plan. I always seemed to drop them or do stupid shit to them. One of my phones I dropped on Valentine's Day during a romantic stroll on the beach with my partner. It literally dropped in a puddle of water. Didn't know where it had gone. He was so mad at me and had to search the whole beach to find it. Let's be honest, you only have iCloud on your phone because I invited you to our family sharing as well. So well, when my phone actually went in the puddle, it still works. So I had half an hour to race home and back everything up before it just absolutely sizzled. I just can't believe that Sarah had this issue with her phone for so long and never thought just.

To back it up. Yeah, she was very stubborn. She was clearly ignoring the issue.

Anyway, as we know, Sarah's phone did die and she booked an appointment at Apple and they said in order to back up the phone they would have to fix the screen and quoted her five hundred dollars However, on the down low, the guy apparently suggested that she go to the phone fix place in the same shopping center because apparently they only charged one hundred dollars. That's so odd to me because I've never heard of an Apple staff member actually recommending, you know, like the dodgy shop down the road to fix it. Maybe they just wanted to handball her off somewhere Else's too hard bask.

Yeah, So Sarah.

Ended up buying a new iPhone from Apple and then headed to the other store to get the content off her phone. And despite Sarah saying that she got a shady and dodgy vibe from the store, she went ahead with their plan. So they suggested, rather than fixing the screen on the phone, that they could instead transfer the data across to a hard disk for four hundred and twenty dollars. Sarah told the staff to call Kurt, her husband, if they had any issues because she was dealing with Malachi, who was apparently screaming, I'm a little bit confused because why was she happy to spend four hundred and twenty at this store that she thought was a little bit dodgy rather than just going back to Apple and spending eighty bucks more. Maybe she just couldn't be bothered to go back. She's got a screaming child. She probably just wanted to get it sorted and thought this is the way I can get the best deal. Perhaps now the place did end up calling Kurt back, and they said that they did actually need to now fix the phone screen, and they said it would cost six hundred dollars.

So Sarah and Kurt.

Assumed that they meant six hundred dollars collectively for the screen repair and also backing up the content. They then called again and said they couldn't back the content up now because there was just too many videos and photos. Anyway, Sarah went back to pick up her phone, and she expected to pay around two hundred and fifty dollars for the screen repair and maybe to cover their hourly rate for helping her out with the backup. However, when she got there, she was told that she was being charged seven hundred and ninety five dollars. Now. Sarah questioned the price, and the staff member clarified that the screen repairs cost six hundred dollars alone and the quote on the phone was in addition to the other work they were doing. Apparently they also fit her new iPhone with a glass screen on the front, and the god who pays for that? But you can do that yourself. Yeah, So Sarah explained what happened to Ker, and he told her to go back and query it further. Let's strow to some of what she said.

Anyway, I asked her again. I'm like, hey, like, I just want to check. I'm really confused why it was so expensive. And she was like, oh, well we did the glass on the front and the back of your new iPhone. I'm like what, Yeah, but like I thought that was like fifty bucks. And I was like, oh okay, And she was really really nice and like maybe she was really nice, but she was like calling me like honey, sweetheart, diling. She was like yeah, darhl, it's fine, it's fine.

Like she's like, I did you a favor.

And I threw in a free jelly case. So I just paid seven hundred ninety five dollars for a jelly case. I just wish I was better in these situations, you know, I wish I was like very I just you know what. It was just hard because Malchi was there and I couldn't be really clear about like what the price was, what.

They were doing.

I just wish I could have been more like in the moment, I was like, yeah, I don't know.

I was flustered.

I was flustered today and then especially after like buying the new iPhone, which to be fair, this iPhone has like lasted me a long time and I really stretch out my technology. But like the blow of like buying that and then being charged like nearly eight hunch jock can I got scammed, like scammed it's a bad word, but like played taken advantage of.

I really related to this rant because I've been in situations before where I feel like I've been taken advantage of, maybe because I've been too kind or just assumed things, and it would be really difficult to stick up for your safe self and say actually, no, I'm not paying this. It is really hard to query a bill. And a lot of Sarah's followers actually DMed her off the back of these stories and agreed with her, which she said actually fueled her fire and made her feel validated.

She then said this.

Maybe she watches my YouTube because act confident and no one will question you. I tried to question her, but in the end, she won. Her confidence was contagious, Like when I question, she just didn't flinch. She was like, it's six hundred dollars, ma'am, I don't. I don't know how to barter or like fix this. When she's like it is what it is. I call Kurt from the car. I'm like, let's go tomorrow and like work this out, Like let's go back tomorrow and be like guys, And he's like, we're not doing that. So he's like, if you also worked up about it, you go, I am, I'm quite worked up, Kurt. It's the principle, the money, but the print don't don't be a dog.

It is so awkward in these situations where the person tries to kill you with kindness, and I feel like she was almost using kind of like belittling language, a sliding yeah, and you want them to be rude to you so you can fire up. I think Sarah had it in the back of her mind that she didn't want to cause too much of a public scene because she is an influencer. She's known what if someone in the store followed her and maybe filmed that or got out. But then she jumps in a story and tells everyone what happened and called the store dogs.

I have a very different opinion.

I think it's quite clear that Sarah thought that the staff knew who she was because she's such a big deal around her area, and she thinks that they purposely targeted her and charged her more. I don't think she was scammed. I think that phones are very expensive to repair. I find it hard to believe there would only cost one hundred dollars for a scream repair shops have been does I was I paid one hundred dollars when what like ten years ago, probably about two actually had to look at an instant quote at one of the walking phone repair shops near US, and it costs five hundred dollars for the back and front glass. I got quoted an astronomical amount because I somehow smashed my camera screen and they wanted I think it was one tho three hundred dollars to repair the camera because they had to put a full new camera in and they said, you may as well just buy a new phone. There's absolutely no pod. Sarah was only getting the backscreen, so maybe it should cost around two hundred bus I think they seven hundred and fifty I think they've also taken into consideration their time. But I personally think that they had no idea who she was. I think that they just saw that she's a young woman and perhaps took advantage. If they did not, literally, they should have clarified on the phone. Do you mean six hundred dollars additional or six hundred dollars in total? I don't get it, because normally when you go to these repair places, you were provided with a written quote that you have to sign, particularly if you're picking up a phone. I had some of these unreputable places.

They were a shopping center.

Don't forget though, Didn't they go on her phone and they would have been able to access some of the photos. They probably saw all this of her taking photos of herself, and we're like, wait a second, she's in an aston mut she's got haigs, she's been to a Sydney trip. This girl has got money. But that's not about this that no, it's not. But also I'm not really crying tears for her. She went to Sydney and dropped fourteen hundred dollars and a pair of Celine sand should have been but doesn't mean you should be scammed over your phone. That's something that I think people didn't like as well. The way she flippantly said oh okay when they initially said four hundred dollars, I thought, oh okay. It kind of made it transparent just how wealthy she is, which is fine, but it's something that her audience can't relate to. But she's wealthy, but then she's a tied ass as well, and that's why she's had this big rant on her Instagram store. For her, it was the principal. It wasn't about the money, which I can not understand. I mean they did throw in a free jelly case. I mean that was actually the cherry on top of the cake. I've been screwed over like that where I signed up for a new phone plan and suddenly they said, oh, today you've been gifted all these things like a Yuwie Boom and these like headphones, and I thought, oh, well, look at all this free shit I got. I then took a look at my contract and I was being charged five dollars every month for that stuff. It ended up costs me an extra two thousand dollars. Phones cost a lot of money. But I think a lesson here for Sarah is just pay fifteen dollars for iCloud each month and back your fucking content. Do you think she's just trying to get in on the back of the muggay action. Is this a trend we're going to see where people are just trying to create this kind of drama, like this petty drama. Definitely, because when you look at her stats on social blade, she is losing more followers than she's gaining. So over the last two years, her Instagram follow account is down by sixteen thousand, and it is a massive drop when you consider that three years prior, collectively she attracted six hundred thousand followers, and her average YouTube US also down by forty eight percent from the year prior. So she is desperate for views at the moment and she is making big dramas out of nothing. Olivia Rodgers has defended her dress choice for a friend's wedding. The former Miss Universe wore a floor length, lemon colored gown with a plunging neckline and extreme thigh high split to the wedding a former Collingwood footballer Dale Thomas and Natasha Bunjoro. Olivia showed off the dress in an Instagram real prior to the wedding, which is attracted at four hundred thousand views. We did go into more detail about this wedding on our Subs episode if you do want to have a listen, but this was before Olivia came out and made comments about the dress. Yeah, because basically her Instagram feed was fluttered with heaps of positive comments saying how stunning she looked in the dress. However, there were two negative comments amongst those. So one person wrote, thought you were the bride with the shopped and laughing emoji. You should have worn a different color dress, not so close to white. But friends like you are everywhere, always single and always wanting to take.

Someone else's moment.

Another person wrote, please don't tell me you wore that to someone's wedding. It's quite funny because I mentioned this on the Subs episode. As soon as I saw this dress, I thought, Wow, I want to wear that to a wedding. And I message my friend and she said, oh my god, I'm thinking of wearing that to your wedding. Like we both were obsessed with the dress. So I do find it interesting that people are saying, how dare you wear that to someone's wedding, because personally, I wouldn't have a problem with someone wearing a light yellow dress.

I didn't even think it looked wise.

Yeah, the color wasn't an issue to me. I could see people being a bit funny because it was quite revealing and I think it was quite striking. But if that person is a really good friend, I wouldn't have an issue with it. But if it was someone's plus one that I'd never met, I'd be like, why girl wearing seat the rule that if you're a close friend, you're allowed to look hot at your friend's wedding, and you're allowed to make an effort. It is funny that she previously got in trouble for wearing red at another friend's wedding because apparently some sort of tradition says that you've slept with the bride. If you wear not the bride the groom, that you slept with the groom. That has ruined me wearing red to anyone's wedding. I keep seeing all these beautiful red dresses and I'm like, I can't wear it. See, I had the totally opposite reaction when I saw the dress, And it's quite funny. So because you'd had this conversation with one of our friends offline, and then I sent a screenshot of Olivia's dress to our group chat with Mum and you guys and said, oh my god, how pissed off would you be if someone wore this to your wedding. I do get the whole thing that you want your friends to make an effort and look beautiful. But I think the issue with the dress wasn't the color, but it was a very flash look at me dress, and I think it was the way that she posted about it on social media because, as you mentioned, the real got over four hundred thousand likes. All the attention was on her, but.

That's her job.

She creates content for a living. She has a stylist who's her best friend, that selects clothes for all the time. Everyone wants to know, and I find her to be great inspiration. As I get older, though, I realize more so that weddings are not just for the bride and groom. They for everyone's friends to celebrate.

Because obviously the.

Bride is the main attraction and the groom is the main attraction at her wedding, but weddings are also such a good opportunity for friends and family to get dressed up and take lovely photos. Olivia goes to events all the time and gets dressed up. I don't think that she is searching for an opportunity to do this. I think it's important that we throw to what she actually said, because she did address the comments directly on her Instagram.

But I want to talk about that comment because it's when women try to bring other women down on the Internet, and it happens all the time. I actually had a conversation with Tash the Beautiful Bride, which I will put here prior to the wedding about what I was wearing to make sure it was okay with her and my friends and I hype each other up and support each other, so there was no issue. I am just so sick of women. Didn't mean to give that thumbs up of women trying to tear other women down. It is so unnecessary and we should be supporting each other and people say that that's happening, but when you look at comments like this, I was really disappointing and I don't know why we can't stop now.

I want to talk about the text message Olivia shared between her and her friend Natasha, So Olivia sent Natasha a message the Wednesday morning before Natasha's Saturday wedding that read, I got it in yellow in the end two exclamation marks. The text was then accompanied by a photo of Olivia modeling in the dress now. Natasha replied, it's so pretty. She then followed up with a second message that said you look stunning, and Olivia replied, thanks, my girl. I just wanted to make sure all g with the Queen of the day dying to see.

Your dress now.

I could not believe that Olivia messaged her friend a week of her wedding a picture of what she was wearing. I just found it so awkward, particularly how she said I wanted to make sure it was all g with the Queen of the Day before. I think if you have to ask a friend if your dress is appropriate for the wedding, then you already know the answer. I could imagine one of my friends sending me a picture of their dress because they're excited. I don't think that that's an issue, but I think that I do agree with where you're reading into it, because it's clear that Olivia is seeking validation. Is this dress okay? Yeah? And what can the friend really say like, nah, fucking take it? Yeah, Because if my friend texts me saying, oh, is this okay? No matter what the dress was, I probably would say yes, because it would be too confrontational to be like the week of my wedding, No, you can't wear that. Like what was she supposed to say? They might have a different dynamic, though, I think it's polite of her to ask what is she supposed to wear? Though it's clearly that it was a black tie wedding. She wore a beautiful long dress. The dress was yellow, for goodness sake, it wasn't white. I don't see an issue with it.

Can I add?

Though? I noticed that someone commented it was An influencer wrote now that's a revenge dress.

Now.

When Olivia broke up with her husband, Justin McKee, and there was so much commentary when she wore this stunning black dress, and Olivia did like the comment, and I was wondering was there extra pressure on her to look good because her ex husband, Justin mckinn was at the wedding. We did speak about this on the subs episode. I feel like in that instance, maybe I'm not saying she's trying to be a bad friend or a bad person. But you know when you get caught up in your own life drama and you're trying to look really hot at an event, and you're like, hmmm, because I think the fact that she asked her friend is it okay if I wear this kind of gives you a hint that there was a reason why she really cared about what she was wearing to this event.

Yeah.

Look, I've always had the philosophy that, yes, everyone should think that the bride is the center of the daan and gush about her dress, etc. But a lot of the time, if we're thinking from a male perspective, a lot of the males don't love a wedding dress. They're more interested in checking out what all the girls at the wedding are wearing, what the bride's maids are wearing. I remember having this conversation with a colleague that I worked with, and I just think that everyone's got their own agenda at a wedding. There's nothing wrong with wanting to look nice at the end of the day. Publicly, the bride, Natasha has been very supportive of Olivia's outfit, so under one of the photos Olivia sheared from the wedding. She wrote wedding guest of my dreams And this was a little bit of a play on the caption that Olivia had shared because she had written Lemon dress of my dreams. So I'm wondering should we have an issue with it if the bride seemingly had no issue with it or issue just been polite. On the Subs episode, we were talking about how Natasha the bride is that it's been rumored that she's celeb spellcheck. Now, maybe in a few weeks, if Celeb's spellcheck SUTs revealing stuff about Olivia Rogers, maybe then we can assume that Natasha had a problem with the dresses. UK influencer Anastasia kings North is copying heat for a blunder she made during a sponsored segment on her YouTube channel. Now, the twenty three year old YouTuber, who has more than one point three million subscribers, struck a deal with controversial Aussie fashion brand White Fox Boutique to promote their new UK website. And this is the brand's latest bid to get into the UK market. I don't know how pleased owners Georgia and Daniel Contest would have been when they saw this segment go live on a YouTube. Here's what Anastasia said, A little bit.

Of exciting news for those of us who actually live in the UK.

White Fox now have a UK.

Website, which means a quicker deliveries and you actually get free delivery if you spend over one thousand pounds.

Now did I hear that correctly? Did she say a thousand pounds for free delivery? I'm not sure how much of a good deal that is. No, what she meant to say was that you get free delivery over one hundred pounds, which is actually quite a good deal for the UK. Yeah. I think that we have all been there when you feel like you're saving money by adding a couple more things in your car. But my god, you'd be adding a lot of things in order to get free shipping from White Fox if that was the case. Yeah, particularly for a fast fashioned brand when most of the items cost around fifty bucks. Well, this, of course was a slip up by Anastasia, but with the UK in a cost of living crisis at the moment, this mishap went down like a lead balloon. It led to gen Zettas creating TikTok videos calling Anna's privily out Now. One of these videos was entitled exciting news.

Is she for real?

Of course she meant one hundred pounds, but the fact she didn't even clock it didn't sound right, and that video received one point three million views and seventy two thousand likes. Now. One user chimed in saying that they would hope delivery was free for one thousand pounds, and this comment was the winner for me. It said that would require them to have anything in stock, because, of course, White Fox has been heavily criticized for the fact that people are waiting on deliveries whilst they have low stops. See. I almost got burnt because I saw White Fox Boutique had some quite nice era tours outfits and I'm on look for one, and then I was like, hang on, that wouldn't arrive until next year. Probably Normally I would think this is absolute privilege shining through the fact that she didn't pick it up. But after having a podcast for so many years, I know there are instances where you say something and you might even edit it and it's still just you don't even realize what you're saying. And also I feel a bit different towards Anathasia because she has grown up struggling quite a lot. She is not some wealthy, rich crick kid of Instagram that's gotten famous on Instagram because she's got a wealthy family. Her channel has grown because she's working. Her family's working class. She's down to earth. Yeah, well that's the thing. A lot of anger from the young women came from the fact that they felt like she didn't flinch when she mentioned one thousand pounds and she must always be spending that sort of money online. I don't know how this blunder made its way through, though, because when you consider that the video was edited, it was sent to a manager, then presumably approved by the brand. I do know that Anastasia's friend byron edits all of her YouTube videos, and I wonder if he just chucked the vision in fast forward and didn't really think much about it. I think the brand should have picked up on it, though, particularly through the vetting process. Now Anna has addressed the backlash on her latest YouTube video, apologizing for her mistake and reiterating it was simply a slip up.

Let's try to what she said.

I need to play something up because it's currently circulating on TikTok and it's actually making me want to scream. So in one of my three videos, I was doing an ad for white Fox and I accidentally said, you get free shipping over a thousand pounds. Guys, I meant a hundred pounds. I didn't mean to say a thousand pounds.

Like literally, if you.

Go on the website, if you look on white Fox as well, it says free shipping over one hundred pounds. Like you know, everyone sometimes has word vomit or just like say something that like they all get like a word wrong. That is genuinely what happened, And oh my god, I'm being like actually scrutinized for it on TikTok, like everyone is doing so mean and fair enough, because like that is a mad deal to say, like, oh, you get free ship for a thousand poud, Like who is spending a thousand pounds on a clothes order? So yeah, I really do apologize for my mistake there. I did not mean to say that, and I'm very very embarrassed. When I saw literally my four fu page. It was just that last night on TikTok, and I was like I want to crawl into a hole and not come out. So I'm just not going to read the comments anymore because they were horror. But yeah, I didn't mean to say guys.

I meant to say one hundred pounds, so word bomb.

It got the better of me that day and I'm now paying for it. I just thought of her that up because that was slightly delusional mean to say that, and like I said, I didn't mean to say it.

I do wonder if this will affect Anna's working relationship with White Fox Boutique going forward. It isn't a great look for the brand. I mean, they already are copying a lot of heat over their deliveries not coming on time. I do think it was a slip of the tongue, but for some viewers who are young, they might take it verbatim from Anna and that might get stuck in their head that it's you have to spend one thousand pounds. I think it's quite good pr for White Fox Bootique because everybody watching it their ears pricked up, and now so many more people know actually it's one hundred dollars, and also they know that White Fox Boutique delivers to the UK, which is.

A big win for them.

And I think a lot of people would have probably seen it on TikTok now about the blunder and all that was actually incorrect. After accidentally donating her designer coat to a charity shop last year, Molly May has returned home to discover a replacement coat hanging in her wardrobe. Now let's rewind to November last year. So during a YouTube video, Molly made the admission about the coat whilst plugging a dupe version of the jacket from Primark.

Here's what she said.

This is a massive duke for a coat I once owned from a brand called max Maara, which quick funny story, actually ended up in a charity shop. That coat was like my dream coat. I spent an absolute fortune on it. It was like I think, honestly, I think that coat was like around two grand or something insane, Like I've never spent that kind of money on a coat before. It's a massive splurge and a massive treat. And I was having a huge sort out about a year ago, and I think the Maximara ended up in the wrong pile in a bin bag and ended up at a charity shop nearby. So someone is walking around with my Maximara coat on right now that they probably got for about I don't know if the charity shop knew what they were selling, then they probably did sell it for quite a good prize, which I'm happy about anyway. Clearlysa went to charity, but yeah, big mistake and never really got over it. Still, she had to tear about it sometimes and I think about it late at night.

Can you imagine snagging this coat at the charity shop. I'm sure that her followers are now going and visiting the Manchester charity stores near her house, hoping that she's made more mistakes like this. I remember years ago, was it beg Judd that got caught out donating some codes? It was Larnska's pajama arranged that she had just plugged on her Instagram account, and then suddenly it was at this charity shop with all this jagged stuff.

Well, this coat that.

Molly is referring to is the Max Mahrat Teddy Bear Icon coat and it currently retails for two thousand, seven hundred and twenty five dollars. Molly did say that she's never spent that kind of money on a coat before and it was a massive splurge for her. I did find that quite funny because she does have a name for a self for buying a lot of designer bags and jewelry. That being said, she does have a lot to do with pretty little thing, and I know on her USUM channel she pushes a lot of fast fashion style clothes to her followers.

I mean that's advantageous for her.

Because she know exactly well. During the YouTube video, she did ask herself whether she would buy the coat again, and she said maybe because it was the coat of her dream. So she was very cut up about this coat. Now, either Tommy Fury has had enough of hearing about this coat or it was a way to get out of the doghouse after that whole nightclub controversy. But he's gone and bought her the exact same coat as a replacement. So Tommy surprised her and had the jacket simply hanging in her wardrobe. This reminds me of something that my partner did recently, but not on this sort of scale. Song and Sophie fought to have this topic.

So now I'm understanding.

Why, because you wanted to mention this as a bit of a flex to your partner, or I just thought it was you know, maybe Molly and I quite similar in this respect. So basically, for Christmas, I had asked for you guys to give me a certain wedding bag, and it was this cute little I think people I'm sure if they're planning a wedding, I've seen it online. It's the shape of a bow. Anyway, you guys nicely got it for me. But I realized that my phone wouldn't fit in it, and that was the one thing that I sort of wanted in the bag. So I put the bag in my cupboard in my closet and thought, okay, I'll return that soon. Anyway, I go to return it, I could not find the bag anywhere. It has disappeared off the face of the earth, been thrown in the bin. I searched for hours. I meticulously cleaned my whole closet. I could not find it. I went on about this bag so much to my partner that that night he went and bought the more expensive, larger version of this bag and surprised me with it. Now, is that a reflection on what a great guy Brandon is or how annoying you are? I think that's probably a bit.

From column Am.

I was ready to buy you the fucking bag after the performance. You know the funniest thing he said to me, I haven't seen you use that bag yet. And I said, what do you mean? He goes, I haven't. I bought it for you and you haven't even used it. I said, the bag is for my wedding. He goes, oh, I didn't realize that I would have given it to you as a president On.

The wedding day.

He messaged me about the bag and I said it was going to be a wedding. I thought it was for Amy's wedding for me, and I said, why would I be going on about this. I had this conversation with him because he said he was going to buy it for you as a wedding gift, and I was like, maybe don't because knowing Sophie, she'll buy a replacement bag.

Okay.

There SEMs to be this habit though, of you know, everyone seems to have a story where they've thrown something really important.

Now because I.

Know, probably like thirty years ago, our mum accidentally threw cash out in an envelope. She's never lived it down. Our dad, yeah, has never let her live it down. Then we had the incident with the name tags for the wedding where Dale accidentally lost the name tags. I want to know in our Facebook community, what is it that you have thrown out? I feel like I need to add this in for our mum because our dad gave her such a hard time about throwing money in the bin, and literally, as you say, thirty years later when they were in London, he left his wallet in a hotel, So feel like they're even now. I reckon that there's this alternate universe where all of your lost shit goes. Though. I remember reading a book about this.

It's a timekeeper or something.

Yeah, because there's no way that this bag was thrown out, Like, I don't know if someone's come into the house stolen it, it's gonna rattle me. I just you know what it's like, It's not even the money, It's just like, where the fuck has this thing gone? Me?

I think you actually threw it out.

I feel like it would be something that you didn't edit to your local charity show.

It was such a cute bag as well.

Yeah, well that is all we've got time for today. Thanks for listening to another episode of Outspoken. If you do enjoy the show, We would really appreciate it if you can subscribe to Outspoken on Apple or Spotify or iHeart and also leave us a five star review if we're not asking for too much, and if you have been enjoying the show, you will absolutely love our subs episodes. We do dive into more influencer content on there. I have been known to go more rogue on there as well. I think Angry Sophie comes out quite a bit on that. Yeah, and also because it's behind the paywall and it's a smaller audience, there's some topics that we reserve specifically for that channel. Yeah, the ones that we don't really want everyone hearing. This episode was recorded on the traditional land of the Ghana people of the Adelaide Plains. We pay respect to elders past and present.
