But beyond her own practice, she works tirelessly to shift the narratives and landscapes around her. Her activism for inclusion and representation can be found in the fashion and performance spaces. 

In this week's show, Emily Elvish explores how Basjia creates art to empower and celebrate the black femme body and to show how powerful and sacred all bodies are.
