India has the fastest growing major economy in the world, is home to 131 of the world’s billionaires and can claim 48 million entrepreneurs. Yet despite its economic progression, women in India still don’t have access to the same rights and privileges as men. In a country marked by patriarchy and gender inequality, we’ve found some incredible women who are spearheading movements for change.
In this special “real talk” episode to conclude the season, we sent Canadian travel blogger Nadine Sykora on a mission to travel to India to find and meet the women leading ground-breaking initiatives - including The Pink Rickshaw Company in Jaipur - that tackle gender inequality, and empower women in India to support themselves and each other.
