The full three and a half hours of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand from 4/23/2024

To close the show, Jones and Arcand are told to CALM DOWN about the Bruins and their goaltending situation thus far in the playoffs. How can they calm down in the middle of the playoffs? Then they discuss Brandon Aiyuk and the possibility of him being traded to the Patriots. Would he just be sad in New England because everyone is scared to pay him?

Hour 3 - during the third hour of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand the crew wraps up the discussion of the Big Q @2 which was about the Bruins goaltender rotation, then are joined by Rob Bradford of Baseball isn't Boring, and the hour finishes with Triple Play! 

It is time for Triple Play! It is over/under Tuesday, and today's questions are How many career regular season games will Andy Reid finish with? How many innings will Tanner Houck finish with today? And How many Celtics games this playoffs will end in a buzzer beater?

Hour 2 - during the second hour of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand without Mego the guys discuss the New England Patriots and their potential draft scenarios with the draft coming up in just two days. Tom E Curran believes that the most likely scenario for the Patriots is to draft a QB at three. Then they break down JJ McCarthy's comments on Adam Schefter's podcast about Robert Kraft. To conclude they talk about accurate vs athletic QBs. 

Drake Maye ticks all the boxes for Adam Jones. He is athletic and can make big plays in the air and with his legs. Jones does not want to draft a guy just because he completes 70% of his passes, odds are that guy is making short throws and screens, which does not help a team win a game. Tom Brady is the exception. Also, Andy Reid is coming for Bill Belichick's records!

JJ McCarthy has gone onto Adam Schefter's podcast and said that Robert Kraft is, “the coolest, smoothest guy I’ve met in a long time. Just being able to know that you’re in good hands when the Kraft family is running that whole thing." Jones and Arcand are disgusted by this. "Sucking up to the owner is embarrassing," says Jones. Also, apparently dissing Bill Belichick means getting a job with the Patriots, Slater and Amendola have both earned jobs by using this strategy.

Hour 1 - Christian Arcand is the new General McCarthy. No more equal starts for the Bruins goalies. Swayman deserves to be the guy for the Bruins especially against the Maple Leafs. During the first hour of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand (without Mego today she is on the IL) the guys discuss the Bruins and their goalie rotation, which coach Montgomery said was not to blame for the Bruins loss. Arcand and Jones try to influence the Big Q @2 voters to blame the goalie rotation for the Bruins game 2 loss (their 6th home game two loss in a row). Is it a goalie problem or a "lifestyle problem?"

The Big Q @2 is How big of a factor did the goalie rotation play in last night's loss? Jones and Arcand think that a lot of the loss was attributed to the rotation, but over 50% of the voters think "goalie communism" is the way to go. Jones and Arcand use this segment to yell at their voters and tell them to vote for their opinion, "A lot". The Bruins might be functioning under goalie communism, but Jones and Arcand are pushing goalie facism.

Jones and Arcand are incredibly frustrated by the Bruins goaltender rotation. Jones: My guy Marchand was invisible. HockeyJones gets yelled at every single spring. But HockeyJones every single year pantses the hardos. I cannot wait to be right about Swayman. Arcand: the rotation people never talk about how Ullmark is never reliable in the playoffs. For some reason they think that they should keep mixing Ullmark in.

Hour 4 - Jones and Arcand wrap up the final hour discussing Celtics-Heat and Bruins-Leafs. The guys also preview the Patriots draft and Jones claims ownership will have their fingerprints all over the #3 pick. Arcand takes over Meg'splaining with Arcand'splaining. The hour wraps up with Bet Roulette.

SEGMENT - Jones, Arcand, and Ryan make their picks on tonight's slate in Bet Roulette.

SEGEMENT - With Mego out, Arcand takes over with Arcand'splaining. He discusses the retirement gift given to John Sterling from the Yankees.

Hour 3 - Jones and Arcand open the third hour making the case as to why we should not see Linus Ullmark in the playoffs. The guys agree that Ullmark has already blown his chance in past years. Arcand explains why the Leafs are the perfect team to ride Swayman against. The hour wraps up with Triple Play.

SEGMENT - It's a buy or sell Monday in this edition of Triple Play centered around the playoffs and NFL Draft.

SEGMENT - Jones and Arcand continue to discuss the Bruins goalie rotation and Jones makes the point that Linus Ullmark has proved he can't be trusted in the playoffs.

Hour 2 - Jones and Arcand open the second discussing Caleb Martin's late game foul on Jayson Tatum and the Heat's attempt to send a message to the Celtics. Jones credits Tatum for brushing it all off and not being rattled by the Heat. The guys come to the conclusion the Heat's only chance is to muck it up vs the Celtics. The hour wraps up with the guys discussing what it would take for the Patriots to move the #3 overall pick. 

SEGMENT - Jones and Arcand discuss what the Patriots would need in a trade package to move the #3 overall pick. Jones believes ownership won't move for just a package of picks, while Arcand believes they can be convinced only if they believe they can get the QB they while still trading back.

SEGMENT - Jones and Arcand discuss Caleb Martin's late game foul on Jayson Tatum and Scal saying Spolestra called for a "Code Red."  Jones believes the Heat wanted to send a message, but weren't trying to injure Tatum.

Hour 1 - Jones, Mego, and Arcand open the show discussing the Bruins victory over the Maple Leafs in game one and where it leads the goalie rotation debate. The crew come to an agreement that Swayman should start game two, but debate what Montgomery will do going forward. Later in the hour Jones, Mego, and Arcand discuss if fans should be buying in on this bruins team. The hour wraps up with Mego taking an early exit due to a "bad mountain dew" and Jones and Arcand discuss the involvement of the Kraft's in football decisions. 

SEGMENT -  Jones and Arcand discuss the level of involvement from Robert and Jonathan Kraft in football decisions. Jones says they are of course involved in the number 3 pick because all NFL owners are involved in top pick decisions. 

SEGMENT - Jones, Mego, and Arcand discuss who should get the net in game two for the Bruins against the Leafs.

It is time for Megsplaining! Today's topic is the relationship roundtable. Jones is a heal-all apparently. If your fiancé has a close relationship with his or her mother, do not say that you hate her before you are married. Also, if you are stuck in the friendzone, Jones has some advice for you! 

The crew continues their bad interview conversation by discussing Trent Baalke and his recent press conference fart.

Hour 3- during the third hour of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand the crew begins the hour ranking first round QB's again. Why did Curran speak so highly of JJ McCarthy? Then they come to the consensus that the Patriots have not come to a consensus on who they want at number three. Finally, Triple Play! They discuss their favorite interview stories and reminisce on old Celtics and Bruins squads.

It is time for Triple Play! The questions asked were their favorite Celtics and Bruins playoff series that is not a Stanley Cup Final or an NBA Finals and their favorite terrible interview moment. Which Sacremento Kings player did Jones get chirped by? Which hip-hop artist did Arcand's interview question raise questions for? Which former QB has Mego " screetched" at? Listen to find out.

There are many different voices in the Patriots front office. There are many different voices on this show. Swayman or Ullmark? Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels or JJ McCarthy? No one is in agreement on anything. Ownership probably likes Jayden Daniels more because he is more marketable, but AVP and Ben McAdoo could want Drake Maye. Arcand wants to trade down, but Jones and Mego are team Drake Maye, their hillbilly king.

Hour 2 - during the second hour of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand the crew begins the hour by breaking down the big Q @2, which is Do you worry Drake Maye going to Washington at 2 would screw up the Patriots' pick at 3? Arcand is not worried, in fact he is happy about the potential to have Jayden Daniels, Mego is concerned because she does not want a guy who is trying to steer himself away from a certain team, and Jones shares the same sentiment. Then NBC Sports Boston's Tom E Curran calls in. The hour finishes with Jones screaming about the Bruins goalie situation and coach Monty.

Adam Jones is a notorious Patrice Bergeron hater. He also knows that the Leafs are always playoff chokers. If the Leafs actually beat the Bruins not only will Jones admit he misses Patrice, but he thinks that Monty's days as the Bruins coach would be numbered. Also, a goalie has been decided upon but GM Sweeney is not telling anyone who it is. "SWAYMAN!" shouts Jones.

NBC Sports Boston's Tom E Curran calls into the show to discuss the Patriots just six days out of the NFL Draft!  If Wolf thinks the Patriots are not a team that is drafting from a need, then he needs to take a long objective look at his offense. The Patriots have the worst offense in football. He said that with a straight face. Makes Wolf very suspect in my eyes.

Hour 1 - during the first hour of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand, the crew discusses the recent rumors about Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye, then Hungover Mego breaks down the Boston Celtics and their clutch stats. Also, AJ Brown seems to want to be in New England. The Patriots made the call, but no dice. AJ will remain in Philly for another season, longing to play for the Patriots.

Mego has crunched the numbers, Jayson Tatum is 19th out of the 19 players left in the playoffs in "double-clutch" situations, or situations in which there is two minutes or less in the game, and it is within two scores. Mego went through the entire NBA of players still in the playoffs, ranked who was the most clutch and who was least clutch, Tatum came in last. Jones is not thrilled about this to say the least.

Firstly, Mego is hungover, she went to a friend’s going away party from the Herald, knocked a glass of wine across the table, got overserved by herself. Jones: If I drink period, I will be hungover. Also, Jayden Daniels is discussed. Jones: If he wants to control his way to NE then what is wrong with him! Would Washington still take him at 2? Mego: Terrible look for Jayden Daniels. Not a good look to steer a team away from drafting you. Washington has better weapons than New England. Is Washington going to screw up the Patriots pick at three?

The full Jones and Mego show with Arcand from 4/18/2024

"Nothing’s happened, that’s bad yet," said Eliot Wolf. Arcand: Free agency was bad. Jones: the dynasty stunk, so did the NFLPA Survey. Mego also believes that AJ Brown will somehow end up on the Patriots because he changed his profile picture. 

The crew breaks down Eliot Wolf's press conference down further. Jones: I no longer am scared of the Patriots not drafting a receiver. I think since Bill is gone, they are going to hit. I want one at 34. Eliot Wolf is the only one showing restraint as to not rip Bill Belichick. It has been a real process for everyone, but the messaging has not been consistent. Also, Drake Maye's biggest fan calls in. 

Ownership is going to make their voices heard about the pick at three! Jones: The Krafts are going to have a huge hand in making the pick. It could be the reason why Wolf brought up Lamar Jackson during his press conference. Ownership had a say back then in the draft when he was with the Browns, and will have a say again this season. The crew reacts and argues about this information. 

Eliot Wolf has spoken to the media once again. During this press conference, no one could hear any of the questions because the audio levels were so low, but not to fear, Professor Dink is here to ask all the hard hitting questions. Mr Dink asks about rookie quarterbacks and the offensive line, and more. Mego: Wolf is doing something intentionally. I did not like the press conference. He is trying to throw out every direction of where they could go in. I did not like the part where he talked about the offense being “NFL Level”and then said they are not drafting from an area of need.

The full four hours of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand from 4/17/2024

Hour 4 - during the fourth hour of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand the crew discussed the Patriots with Jeremy Fowler, an ESPN reporter, then Mego explains the marathon poop story heard across social media, then finishes with their locks of the night on Bet Roulette!

It is time for Bet Roulette! No one hit their bet last night, but today is a new day. Mego chooses the Hawks +3, Arcand elects to go with Tanner Houck under 4.5 strikeouts, and Jones says Red Sox Guardians under 8.5 runs. 

It is time for Megsplaining: today Mego wants to talk about poop, again. Davis Clarke has made his living on social media posting motivational content, and he went viral again after releasing a disturbing video of his shorts after the marathon. 

Jeremy Fowler calls into the Jones and Mego show with Arcand to disucss his recent article about Bill Belichick that was released this morning and more. He also talks about the "new life" in the Patriots locker room stemming from the new regime of Eliot Wolf and Jerod Mayo. Also what does Fowler think of the Patriots draft position? Listen to find out!

Hour 3 - during the third hour of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand, the crew gets further into the Bill Belichick vs Robert Kraft situation, then listens to NBC Sports Boston's Brian Scalabrine's takes on who he is most scared of in the east, and wraps up the hour with Triple Play! 

NBC Sports Boston's Brian Scalabrine calls into the Jones and Mego show with Arcand to break down the Eastern conference, and the Celtics potential opponent in the first round. Also he talks about what Mike Gorman means to him.

Hour 2 - during the second hour of the Jones and Mego show with Arcand the crew discusses the Red Sox and their error plagued last few games with Alex Cora, gives a preview of the Bruins goaltending situation for the playoffs for their matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs, and lean back into the Bill Belichick conversation on Robert and Jonathan Kraft's interference in his desire to get an NFL coaching job.

The matchup is set! The Boston Bruins will faceoff against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the playoffs this year. Mego: Will it be Swayman and keep Swayman, or switch it up? Jones wants SWAYMAN, and Arcand has changed his opinion, he agrees with Jones now. Jones: I have seen enough Ullmark in the playoffs to not want to see him again.

Alex Cora joins the show from the WEEI Fenway studio and chats with Jones, Mego, and Arcand about the recent influx of errors which have been plaguing the team, and more. Will Devers be in the lineup soon? Can Alex Cora right the ship early in the season? He also talks about his message to the team during this tough stretch.
