The top priority of Don Sweeney's offseason should have been to extend Jeremy Swayman. However, he seems to be avoiding contract negotiations and questions surrounding them. 

Jones: I am still confident they will sign Swayman, but my confidence shrinks every day. I am nervous when I hear Sweeney talk about Swayman. He seems to be avoiding it. It could be ugly with arbitration.
