He's among a few heavy hitters now who are vying for the top job, along with Liberal MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith and Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie who is exploring the idea. But would Ontario Liberals want someone who has ties to previous governments?

Bill 5 - The Stopping Harassment and Abuse by Local Leaders Act - was shot down last week by the PC government. The bill, which could call for the ouster of municipal councillors who do not comply with violence and harassment policies, seemed like a slam dunk, so why would the government oppose it? Steve Paikin and John Michael McGrath discuss.
