Walking has become increasingly popular as a form of exercise and social activity. Be inspired by some avid walkers on this podcast. Simon Lim features four walkers from the walking group LongwalkSG. They include 65-year-old Won Tzyy-ya (Founder of LongwalkSG); 88-year-old Dr. Leong Lee San; Cheryl Gan, the Founder and Managing Director of HYSSES; and Alice Chua, an Accounts Executive in her 70s.
Walking is one activity where there is no age barrier. It is remarkable how some walkers of LongwalkSG who are middle age or seniors in Singapore society can cover a distance of 15km, 25km or more (indeed motivational for anyone in their 20s or 30s who currently lead a sedentary lifestyle or who only walk to the nearby neighbourhood mall or supermarket).
Listen to Won Tzyy-ya, Dr. Leong Lee San, Cheryl Gan and Alice Chua each share their story on why they have taken to doing long walks and made it part of their lifestyle. What benefits have they each personally experienced by walking more?
