Paul concludes his second missionary journey as he travels from Corinth to Antioch, via Ephesus, Caesarea, and Jerusalem. Despite a brief stay in Ephesus where he reasons with the Jews, he prioritises attending a feast in Jerusalem. After connecting with the church, he returns to Antioch before embarking on his third journey to strengthen the disciples in Galatia and Phrygia.

In Acts chapter 19, Paul journeys to Ephesus and encounters disciples who had only experienced John’s baptism. He asks if they have received the Holy Spirit since believing. Upon realising they had not, Paul explains the significance of Jesus’ baptism, leading them to be baptised in His name. Paul then lays hands on them, and the Holy Spirit comes upon them, enabling them to speak in tongues and prophesy.
