It wasn't until a year later, after experiencing the harsh realities of dialysis and the loss of his twin brother, that AJ realized the need for a transformation.

In 2020, amidst his battle with kidney failure, AJ discovered the therapeutic power of comedy. Using social media as an outlet for his kidney-related jokes, AJ gained a following and eventually ventured into stand-up comedy. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, AJ's determination led him to Phoenix, where he embarked on his comedy journey.

In June 2022, AJ received a life-saving kidney transplant, marking a turning point in his life. With renewed health and purpose, AJ is committed to using his platform to raise awareness about kidney health and organ donation, while also providing support to those facing similar challenges.
