As he prepares to end his tenure as President of the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) , the peak union for Australia's journalists, Marcus Strom joins Francis and Sally to discuss the state of journalism in Australia today.
Francis, Sally and Marcus discuss the increasing threats of intimidation and violence against journalists, the encroachment of government and law enforcement into journalistic practice, the shrinking of regional news and the scourge of misinformation.
