Columnist Berry Tramel notes that Bob Bowlsby keeps using the word “betrayal” when discussing the announced departure of OU and Texas to the Southeastern Conference. Betrayal is a powerful word. But you certainly can understand the Big 12 commissioner’s reason for using it. Same as you can understand why the Sooners and Longhorns are leaving.

The Class 6A girls race will begin at 8:30 a.m. The other races will follow throughout the day.
