BIO: James Myles (Republican Party) is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Virginia's 11th Congressional District. He declared candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on May 7, 2022. Myles was born in Bay City, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1982 to 1990. Myles earned a bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University in 1982 and a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1993. His career experience includes working as a U.S. administrative law judge and on the Republican staff of the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Subcommittee on Social Security. Myles also worked for the Social Security Administration and the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He has been affiliated with the National Rifle Association, the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus.
