There's a further warning people across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal will pushed to the pin of their collar if excise duty is brought back. 

The phasing out of excise cuts on fuel is due to begin on the 1st of September, with warnings diesel prices could increase to more than two-euro a litre.

The temporary excise cuts were introduced in April after widespread protests brought roads across the North West to a standstill.

Speaking to Ocean FM news, Donegal TD and Sinn Feins Finance Spokesperson Pearse Doherty says the Government cannot allow this to happen:
