A warning has been issued over the dangers of off-shore winds in the North West this weekend. 

The RNLI is urging swimmers to exercise caution on or near the water over the coming days. 

As people travel to coasts and waterways, member of the public are being encouraged to read safety signs and check weather conditions before entering the water.
