Urgent clarity is being sought over why the two main North West hospitals were seemingly excluded from a nationwide rollout of specialist crisis nursing teams.

Ten hospitals across the country are set to benefit from new specialist mental health teams in a bid to strengthen crisis supports out-of-hours in emergency departments.

However, neither Sligo nor Letterkenny University Hospital have been included in the rollout.

Fianna Fail Cllr Donal Gilroy says local TDs need to start asking some serious questions to Minister for Mental Health Mary Butler:
