Two Sligo schools have been added to a list set to benefit from the expansion of the Education Therapy Service.

The ETS is expanding to a further 19 special schools across nine counties with St Cecilia's School and St Joseph's Special School in Sligo added. 

The ETS is a standalone commitment under the Programme for Government and represents a major cross-departmental initiative to embed therapy supports within school communities

The service is being delivered by the National Council for Special Education.

Leas Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council and Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh says this will be of huge benefit to the schools locally:
