Serious concern has been raised once again over planned housing for Strandhill.

 

The Government has awarded ten million euro to Sligo County Council to pave the way for hundreds of homes in the area, with the money to be used to provide services on the ground.

 

However Fine Gael Cllr Fergal Nealon says serviced land does not necessarily mean over 500 homes being built in Strandhill.

 

He's warning that the area will simply not be able to deal with such an increase in the population locally:
