There's still no speech and language therapist for adult services in Co Leitrim.

While cover had been provided by agency staff up until December last, it's understood this has stopped because no agency staff are available. 

Adult service users in Leitrim are now in a position that they are not receiving speech and language therapy, but instead they receive advice and information from the primary care team.


Sligo Leitrim Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny says the position has been left vacant for far too long and the situation is totally unacceptable:
