A Sligo Councillor has described Sligo University Hospital as a "third world" facility.

It comes as an orthopedic theatre there was forced to close yesterday due to a cracked window.

It's the second time a theatre in the hospital has closed this month.

Leas Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council Thomas Walsh says it's scandalous that there hasn't been investment into modernising the building:
