Sligo has seen the biggest rise in property prices in the North West over the last year. 

A new report from MyHome.ie shoes that house prices in Sligo rose by €27,500 in one year.

The report for Q1 2026, shows that the median asking price for a property in the county is now €222,500. That means prices have fallen by €2,500 over the quarter. 

In County Leitrim prices rose by almost €17,500 over the same period while Donegal saw a rise of €10,000 in one year. 

But Joanne Geary, Managing Director of MyHome says while there have been increases, its not all doom and gloom and that the market has actually stabilised:
