 

 

A Sligo/Leitrim TD has called for the development of new Orthopaedic theatres in Sligo University Hospital.

 

It comes as a faulty air conditioning unit has caused leaks in the orthopaedic theatre of the hospital, leading to some elective surgeries to be cancelled.

 

Leaks in the roof led to cancelled surgeries in the same theatre last year.

 

Speaking in the Dáil yesterday, Fianna Fail TD Eamon Scanlon requested that the issue be moved forward:
