A Labour Councillor is expressing serious concern this morning with the sharp increase in waiting lists for children seeking disability and developmental services.

 

Councillor Ann Higgins says Demand for primary care and disability assistance for children is continuing to increase.

 

 

The Sligo based Councillor says a number of children waiting in excess of a year for three critical developmental services has increased by more than one third.

 

 

She says the figures from the HSE show that Long waiting lists have become the new normal.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM, Cllr Higgins says it's unfair on those looking to access the services and their families.
