There's still reservations locally over the new Fuel Income Support Scheme for farmers and agricultural contractors.

The scheme, which will provide targeted financial support to those impacted by rising fuel costs, forms part of the Government's €100 million package to assist farmers, contractors and fishers facing significant increases in the cost of Green Diesel. 

The scheme is now open for applications. 

But Sinn Feins Agriculture Spokesperson and Sligo Leitrim TD Martin Kenny has once again been outlining why he thinks the scheme doesn't go far enough:
