There's renewed concern over the lack of a tea trolley on the Sligo-Dublin train line. 

It comes as Irish Rail is temporarily re-introducing catering to some services between Dublin and Galway as part of a pilot project. 

It will begin in the coming days on certain trips, for staff training purposes.

The pilot itself will continue for six months without public service funding, to assess the viability of the service.

Cathaoirleach of the Sligo Drumcliff MD and Fianna Fail Cllr Edel McSharry has questioned why Sligo hasn't been included in the project and is to write to Irish Rail to demand an explanation:
