There are renewed calls for speed cameras to be installed on the N15 and N17 in County Sligo. 

It comes as the Government plans to roll out more safety cameras nationwide. 

At present, there's cameras on the N17 in County Mayo and its thought the introduction of additional technology in the region would vastly improve driver behaviour locally. 

Independent Cllr Marie Casserly has reiterated her grave concerns over the level of crashes on national primary routes in the County and firmly believes that cameras would help combat the issue:
