A number of proposals have been put forward over a controversial bus stop in Ballisodare. 

Due to works on a new pedestrian crossing in the village, the bus stop has been temporarily relocated, which has sparked frustration among some local businesses. 

It's thought the bus stop should be moved to the Sligo Road to alleviate traffic and parking issues. 

The National Transport Authority is being requested to examine the matter further. 

Both Sligo County Council and the NTA have been contacted for comment.  

Leas-Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council and Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh is hopeful it can be resolved as it would be in everyone's best interest:
