People across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are being encouraged to take part in a public consultation on the next Food Waste Prevention Roadmap.

It'll will set out actions to help Ireland reduce food waste and meet new legally binding EU food waste reduction targets by 2030.

It will also support Ireland's commitment to reduce food loss and waste.

Minister of State Alan Dillon says food waste affects everyone and occurs at every stage of the food supply chain.

Speaking to Ocean FM news, Minister Dillon has been giving more details about the roadmap and the importance of people taking part in the public consultation:
