The National Transport Authority has been accused of kicking the can down the road over calls for a local link along the N17 to Sligo Town. 

It comes as Fianna Fail TD Eamon Scanlon along with other political representatives had what's been described as a constructive meeting with the NTA this week. 

The meeting heard that the proposal to have a Local Link service along the N17 is under active consideration and is bein examined in detail. 

But Fianna Fail Cllr Barry Gallagher isn't instilled with confidence following the update:
