A new community alert scheme is being set up in Donegal Town.

The aim of the scheme is to help keep the local community safe and connected. 

A public meeting is taking place on Wednesday May 6th in the Bosco Centre at 7.30pm. 

Cathaoirleach of the Donegal MD and Fianna Fail Cllr Michael Naughton says similar schemes have been effective in other communities in the region. 

He's calling on all interested residents to attend the meeting:
