A much needed new footpath is on the way to part of Coolaney. 
 
It's been confirmed that the contract is signed and a contractor has been appointed to begin working on a new footpath from Rockfield National School towards Coolaney village.

Work is set to begin as soon as possible. 

Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council and Fine Gael Cllr Dara Mulvey says there are serious concerns in this particular area of the village and its been a lengthy process to finally get to this stage. 

He's confident the new footpath will pave the way towards a safer environment for all:
