The Housing Minister is being urged to increase the eligibility threshold for social housing in Donegal. 

Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are all currently on band 3 - this is said to be preventing many people who are working full time but on minimum wage getting on the social housing waiting list. 

This is said to be resulting in those impacted left in a serious situation, paying rents they can't afford and locked out of the property market. 

Independent Cllr Jimmy Brogan says the current system is totally unfair and there needs to be review:
