The Minister for Enterprise and Tourism has committed to investigate this week's controversy between tickets.ie and local festivals.

The Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival and the Cowboys and Heroes festival are collectively owed hundreds of thousands of euro after the company behind the ticket site announced it was going into liquidation. 

There are calls on the Government to provide compensation for the festivals in question:
