A public meeting on the rising cost of fuel prices will take place tomorrow evening (Easter Saturday) in Manorhamilton.

 

Low income families, farmers, Contractors and hauliers are invited to attend where discussions are planned on rising fuel prices and the how they are impacting many people, families and businesses.

 

Tomorrow's meeting will be staged in the Bee Park Centre and will commence at 7.30 p.m.

 

The public event is being organised by Sligo Councillor Michael Clarke. 

 

He says a delegation from last week's meeting in Portaloise will be on hand to provide an update on the ongoing efforts into reducing fuel prices.

 

Cllr Clarke says the Leitrim meeting should be attended by a wide cross section of the community in order to highlight the severity of the crisis:
