A Leitrim Union official has warned that there are many challenges facing public sector works in the current fuel crisis.

 

Derek Kellegher says the shortage and cost of fuel is impacting many public sector workers with some local authorities setting up Crisis Management Teams to review and prioritise operations.

 

The Forsa official says there is genuine uncertainty in relation to workers being able to attend work in the coming days.

 

The Assistant General Secretary for the Forsa Union's Local Government Division in the North West wants temporary adjustments to working arrangements to be facilitated where travel is not feasible such as greater flexibility to remote working.
