It seems as though the nationwide hosepipe ban could be lifted.

Reports today are indicating that Uisce Eireann are considering a change to regional bans.

Under this switch, the south and east of the country would remain under a hosepipe ban.

Leitrim Sinn Fein Councillor Padraig Fallon says it shouldn't have been a nationwide ban in the first place:
