The lack of properties in Sligo available under the HAP scheme has been described as a complete collapse of the system.

The latest 'Locked Out of the Market' report from the Simon Communities shows just one home was available in Sligo Town to rent for people on the scheme last month.

Just 14 homes were available in the entire country with none in County Leitrim.
