The lack of Gardai in south Donegal, a rise in crime in the area and the ongoing closure of Donegal Town courthouse are set to be raised at a key meeting next week.

The Donegal Community Safety Partnership is due to meet in Lifford next week where a number of local issues are to be discussed.

The partnership replaces the Joint Policing Committee.

Meanwhile, an investigation is ongoing into two burglaries in Donegal Town, with two properties in the Ardeskin Heights area of the town targeted between 3pm and 8pm on Wednesday the 11th of February.

Local Independent Cllr Jimmy Brogan says it's important that these serious issues are addressed:
