Flash flooding caused significant disruption in parts of south west Donegal last night.

Several roads in Bruckless and Killybegs were impassable for a time while a number of properties were also damaged.

Crews from Donegal County Council worked late into the night to carry out a clean-up operation.

Local Fine Gael Cllr Michael Boyle says the level of rain that came down in the area was unprecedented.

He's calling for a review and action into river and drain cleaning at a local level:
