It's expected there will be an increase in housing delivery by Leitrim County Council by years end. 


It comes just 2.8 homes per one thousand people were created in County Leitrim in the first six months of the year.


Sligo had a figure of 3.6 while Donegal stats stand at 3.5. 

Sinn Fein Cllr Padraig Fallon says plans are firmly afoot to increase housing supply in the North Leitrim area. 

However, Cllr Fallon says there needs to be an increase in funding, particularly for new builds provided by the Government to local authorities:
