There's a warning counterfeit bank notes circulating in County Donegal could be used anywhere in the North West.

The counterfeit Bank Of England £20 Sterling notes were in circulation in Letterkenny over recent days.
Gardai are urging business owners to always check all bank notes thoroughly at points of payment.

Sgt Fergus McRory Divisional Crime Prevention Officer says the culprits will move on and attempt to use the fake notes elsewhere.
